Can not connect to Milestone services.

All day I've been getting this error when i try to access:
Multiplayer > Quick Match
or when i try to access my own liveries on the server.
"Can not connect to Milestone services."
My windows time is synchronized.
Some one mentioned on reddit to try synchronizing my windows time. but its not helping.
I put a bunch of money into this game, and have some decent leader board times and ghosts.

Is milestone just trying to shake people loose with all this, to go buy the HWU2 game when it comes out? or is it just neglect of the old game and its servers, for all the focus on HWU2? Kinda feeling abandoned here.
It's not great incentive toward some shiny new version :/

People can still buy this, but cant connect. Who do i even send a report to? whats Milestones report-ticket site?

Steam updated its communication method, so older versions of the steam client do not presently work. only versions (presently) from dec 2023 up to now (jan 2024) connect using the latest steam communication protocols. if your on an older version, i wish you the best of luck out there.
