It's fun. Nice drifting. No power-up BS. A lot of wild car designs and each one drives differently. A massive sp campaign. Plus 3 other campaigns if you buy the dlcs. Don't except much from mp. No microtransactions in-game for boxes. You get lot of money and you can dismantle what ever car you get to get back money or points for upgrading cars, you chose. I highly recommend buying the goty edition with the discount. You can refund the whole thing if you don't like it.

there is a "goty upgrade" deal, so you can play the base game and if you like it and dont send it back you can come back and enjoy more content the next offer with the upgrade

I mean, I think the servers are ON but personally im focused on the single player campaigns and im not interested in the mp side. That being said Ive seen some people say mp is not so "alive",

Bought it recently during sale and I think it's a very well made game.

I don't care about multiplayer so I can't comment on that, but the AI is pretty decent for me, lots of cars, tracks and there's a track editor where you can share or download community made tracks.

22 hours into the game and got most cars and finished 100% the main campaign, its good! hint: sometimes time wont be enough without some wicked shortcuts

No, not at full price but maybe at massive discount. It's an upscaled mobile phone game with the same MTX tactics and an MP that's dead or full of cheats. Doesn't really feel like a Hot Wheels game, especially since there's no incentives for stunts. It's definitely fun at first until you start to realize it's really shallow in gameplay, consisting of nothing but races and nothing to do on the side. Even the "boss" races are just normal races with a simple road hazard. The one thing they did a great job on was the livery editor, but even that's a little finnicky especially when it comes to text and severe aliasing if you make a decal too small. It lacks so much of the original classic vehicles and in turn oversaturated with 3rd party media crossovers, many of which I find personally very aesthetically off-putting. You might as well play the GC/PS2 Hot Wheels games on emulator for free
