Help with drifting

I'm having trouble drifting in the game a lot, especially on tabletops and floors. The problem for me is not drifting initially, but how to stop drifting within a drift. Most of the time I'm bumping into walls when drifting around corners, and when on tabletops I will just fall off in the middle of a drift. This is extremely difficult especially during time trails where I'm losing time by crashing and trying to boost out of a stop.

Does anyone know how to end a drift successfully? I'm using a ps4 controller on PC, and primarily using the exotique as my car. Is it the car that's the problem or am I not understanding the basics of drifting?

I found using cars with better handling and braking helped me with drifting in the beginning. After an hour or so you'll have it down pat :)

As people mentioned above, braking power and handling are extremely important. After getting a good car overall, it's a matter of switching in between acceleration and brake to make the drift slick.

You'll get it down eventually. Took me only two days to learn it. I use the Track Manga since it's the best imo.
