We players may always complain on why the game looks the same every year. Personally speaking, I'm also not satisfied with the tiny annual update on the game's playability. But every time when I read your latest development log, I can feel your passion and cohesion in your team. It's a tough period for everyone. But you guys are still trying to bring us a better FM. Really appreciate your guys' work a lot. Maybe the new generation is not perfect, but it's still light before the down. Stay safe and take care of each other.

I just hope for 1 thing. Tactics as close to reality as possible with shortcomings and benefits as it goes with every style of play. Like Klopp tactic is too demanding on physique so it will reflect that in game even if you rotate or Guardiola tactic dependent on very good players and it will work very bad with small teams that have bad technical and tactical awareness. Also i would like to see some tactics to overcome others like catenaccio working vs big teams sometimes if you are lucky or whatever. Because i think after scouting, transfers, the most important managers job is to make a tactic suit your team not just plug and play tactic that is able to win everything even with small teams.

Having said that, I stll - like last year - believe it is a mistake to let COVID influence the financial stability of 95% of the worlds football clubs in-game. Those 5% of the top clubs couldnt care less, while the rest of the world's clubs will be ravaged by it.

It is NOT FUN to sell half your playerbase to be able to pay the other half (because, the players apparently dont care about COVID and still demand astronomical wages once your club starts climbing the ladders).
It is NOT FUN to manage a club that you took up the ladders to the top most league only to then have absolutley no chance of being competitive due to not being able to pay (wages) and/or buy players because COVID ravaged the club financially.

Up to FM19 we at least had the option to be financially sound - with spare - while going through the ladders because players were worth much more and thus larger clubs payed more for young talents (which is how most lower league clubs finance themselves in FM). By the time you reached the top flight, you were able to pay the absurd wages of most of your best players (instead of losing them right away due to no balance) and even buy a few new ones to help you keep you in the top flight.

IN FM20, apart from having insane luck with a regen thats worth it pound in gold, there is just no way to make money. Yes, players in lower leagues cost less, but their upkeep DOES NOT. I might be able to get that one decent player even for free, but then his upkeep costs around half my spoending budget... which was made possible by selling 3 other guys and lending out 2 more, crippling my positional options...


I do understand you want your game to be as accurate to real life as possible, but - in gods truth - NOBODY wants these financial COVID restrictions in the game. SO WHY KEEP THEM?! You had them in for FM20, players DID NOT LIKE IT, so why be a stubborn know it better and keep them in? If i had known this beforehand I pre-ordered the game, I would not have bothered this year.

It should be an option when setting up your save to turn on or off Lockdown finances.
It baffles me why it isn't this way.

It isn't lazy, you can create injuries with the editor like on 5 mins, go and create it, just modify a flu or something.

It's just that this game is escapism and I like that it stays that way.
