Player is unhappy that promise to loan him wasn't kept.

So I told this guy I would try to loan him to get some game time, but nobody wanted to take him, even for free. I spammed the offer to clubs option on deadline day but still nothing.

Now he's unhappy cause "I didn't try hard enough to loan him". I told him that no-one was interested and the player said I was lying.

Doesn't the game realise that I did try to loan him? What counts as "hard enough"?

I don't know whether this is a bug, or whether it's the devs being really, REALLY perceptive about real life behaviour and modelling it in the game. Let's face it, when people don't get what they want it's often (especially these days) the other person's fault for "not listening to me", "not respecting me", or "not trying hard enough for me, because the world owes me, don'cha know". The response may also vary depending upon some attributes like ambition, but I'm guessing there. So yes, I can believe in a scenario where you may not be able to keep a promise even though you did everything you could, and STILL end up being blamed for it.

But that said... NOBODY wanted him? Even as a freebie?? I suppose it depends on which league you're in and who you're trying to loan him to (and probably what part of the season it is, if the other teams have established their rosters), but one does have to ask whether the reason that nobody wanted to save a little cash by getting a free player for a season is that this guy is, in fact, rubbish. If so, I'd probably deal with the unhappiness by trying to dump his backside from my team lists ASAP.

Yeah nobody wanted him, I'm playing crawley in sky bet league two and the striker was 28-year old ok player. Luckily he had only 6 months left in his contract so I just waited it to run out.

it's not your fault, the players have their brains full of twitter, greed and lack of respect. Whenever you are good or not they don't care and SI have lost the football content long time ago.
