Whats wrong with my players match ratings?!They are abysmal

I noticed it few seasons ago but since I was still in championship I did not pay attention

For sure I found it strange that my striker that scored 30 goals in 44 games finished with average rating of 7.01 . I put it cuz he wasnt really amazing player...

My AML thou which was wonderkid and I kept an eye on him finished 6.70 with 41 games 20 goals 10 assists..

Last season in Premier league I fought bravely for survival and my AML had 33 games 11 goals 10 assist with average rating of 6.60.. ( i had 1 player above 7)

Problem is he is playing great but even in the game he scores/assists and we win 1:0 2:1 his rating is maximum 7.1 7.0 6.8..

I sold 5x AMR cuz they and 6.5 ratings all the time or worse..

Some examples hard fought victory 2:1
My AMR scored the winning goal his rating is 6.8 90 minutes
7:1 big time victory my biggest ever 3 goals by my st rating 8.8
2 goals by my MC rating 8.3 (no penalty missed)

2:0 clean victory goals and assist ecah other my AML ST both finished with 7.1

Since I do not play full details other leagues for example
Messi AMR 36 games 12 goals 7 assist last year AVR rating 8.20 (my player with better goals/assists finsihed 6.70...)

I dont really mind the ratings but half the time at 45 minute 3 of my midfielders are 6.4 6.3 and the problem is when I watch highlights they usually player good and are involved...

Making alot of fouls....losing duels....losing possesion....something like that.....have the same issue and isnt always clear to me either

but my AML job is to score assist who cares if he lose a duel or two. He is ijnside forward...

So I have to stop playing gegenpress?! This is like the only effective formation

Getting counterd cause cant hold on to a ball or cant make proper descisions isnt really helpfull if you concede alot because of it. If he makes 2 goals and gives away 2 goals....but depends on his form reports and sometimes its just not really clear why he ia getting low raitings

The ratings system has undergone some significant changes for FM21. Bear in mind the average rating is 6.8 - anything above this indicates an above average performance, anything below (you get the idea).

Where in previous versions players got a huge boost for goals and assists (even tap ins from one yard) this year it's nuanced a bit more to take into account player roles and what happens within the match at a deeper level. This does mean the seasonal average rating of 8 and above are a bit of a thing of the past.

Yes that all sound good Neal but for example in EPL since I am there there are like 2 players averaging above 7.50 . The 20th best average rating player is my GK at 7.20

The difference is huge!! Star players are playing awful in FULL DETAIL league . Its harder to develople young players since they always get bad ratings especially if you use them as subs..

Sure now go check computer in difference leagues. You can go to bottom of the table in each top league open the team and you will see the computer team is averaging 3x better ratings then you.. Random MC in crappy teams are 7.50 +++ .

DLP is under-rating especially, ave. 6.4~6.5 while other role can have >7.
