VAR offside from corner....

Ehm is that even possible? No pass involved. Corner kick-header-goal disallowed for offside after VAR... Anyone else had the same issue?

Yes. I have had corners ruled offside. Not by VAR but just by normal refereeing.

Yeah had this quite a few times which is annoying. I've also had several annoying goals ruled out for offside when a player has hit a longshot from 30 yards out past all the defence and the keeper and VAR has ruled it out for offside.

You do know the rule is if anyone is in an offside position when you shoot it's disallowed right? They class it as impeding play. Dumb rule I agree but unfortunately it is a genuine rule

Does any of you get the offside, where a player is offside BUT he isnt near the ball .. like a midfield player is passing the ball to the person who is onside and scores, but the other person is offside but nowhere near..

Yeah the offside system is broken, so many goals are getting canceled for dumb offsides, not only on corner kicks. They definitely need to patch this, its so annoying.

All the time, its doing me nut in, I had one where someone popped in 40 yard screamer and because a player was near the corner flag it got disallowed.

I've just had a great one where a forward got the ball in his own half, dribbled all the way to the opposition box, past the defenders, was one on one with the keeper, took a shot, the keeper blocked it, the ball rebounded back to the same player who on second attempt put it into the net for a goal, only for VAR to rule it out for Offside. Didn't realise a player could be offside for a ball being played back to him from an opponent player.

I have had throw ruled offside.. They have to fix this annoying bugs.
