Ageia physx

I sincerely thank you for this warning. I'm not intensely computer literate, so to have purchased a game that would've required some rather entensive work to make it compatible to play would be distressing. I hope that those who do enjoy this game have a good game. I'm just able to tell, at this point, that although this game seems intriguing, it's not for me.

eh, just installed the game and it works without a flaw... using the latest nvidia drivers (320+). W8-64bit over here.

I still need the old Physx to get this to work on Win7 x64 with 320+ NVidia drivers. Are you sure you have the latest version of Physx installed?

I get this same error. I have windows 7 64 bit version. I get the error about the Ageia physx. I am currently trying all tricks as mentioned above. I also installed this on a alternative hard drive if that has any difference..

1. Installing legacy drives did not work for me, but to make sure it is not my alternative hard drive version..im going to install on default hard drive and see what happens...

2. I am removing the physx file from the game now and see if that works...

This actually worked for me...renaming the physx core.dll file to physxcore.back seemed to fix the issue. You will have to wait about 20 seconds for a black screen, but it does load up the menu...thanks to xsys.

NOTE: I don't have the version of physx that xsys had, but the newer one, but the same trick worked..thanks again for the suggestion...

I posted the same tips on gamefaqs for the retail version of the game, since i have that version, but these tips were great and helped me..thanks..

For info, I found these legacy drivers from Nvidia did the trick for me. http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.12.1031-legacy-driver.html

This worked for me as well and I have a ATI video card

Use Tarant's link it takes 20 seconds to do. Game works fine on windows 10 for me

I know i'm late with answer, but to fix "startup reset failed" error you need to disable fullscreen mode in configuration utility, and game would work. But now i have 2 other problems - there is windows cursor overlaping in-game cursor now, and animation looks rigged because game runs in 60 FPS but animations looks like 30 FPS, terrible stuttering all over the place.

This what fixed it for me, just download and install the "PhysX-9.12.1031" from the links i posts above,
after that right click on the game icon and go to "compatibility" tab and check the "disable fullscreen optimisation" and that should do it.

I've the retail Version of "Roleplay Collection" where that Game was included and that Trick worked for me too! I installed before "PhysX-9.12.1031" which doesn't helped alone. I don't know if you have to do both, but at least the rename thing was a great hint!
Let's hope i can play this game without more problems now :D
