Can't proceed beyond the first level

After I finished the tutorial level, the game stuck at the loading screen for quite a while before I Alt + F4'd. And the game failed to load the save after restarting. The demo version didn't share this problem.

Hello,

I can't continue the game if I exit the game after I finish one chapter.
Actually, if I keep playing after finish one chapter, it goes well.
But if I exit the game and play it later, it will stuck on the loading screen and crash.
I deleted the progress and tried to play from the beginning, the issue still there.

The game version is 2.0.18.

Hi, it seems like a save problem, can you crash the game, then archive save game folder and send it to me - [e-mail]
folder location:

c:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\LocalLow\KiaryGames\

where <YourUserName> is you windows user name

Still investigating, it seems that save data is not the root cause of the problem

Okay so here's my spec:

• CPU: i5-8300H
  
• GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 with Max-Q, driver version 461.40
  
• OS: Win 10 (64-bit)
  
• RAM: 32G

The trouble seems to have solved itself after deleting the save and restarting.

Game crushes when it tries to show level select screen (the book), it does not show it on the first start. You need to reopen the game to check if you can load the book level

It seems issue affects mostly Chinese players. So the question to everyone here - what's your language settings in game, steam and windows? If it is Chinese then what variant (Simplified/Singapore/Macao/Taiwan/Hong Kong/Other?)?

OS language: Simplified.
Steam: Simplified.
In game: English.

I changed game language into English and the problem seemed to be solved until I finished lvl9
So I deleted my saving progress again but this time got stuck after finishing tutorial
Tried deleting all the files and reinstall the whole game but still got stuck at the same point

Changing my OS language into English does the same

Try the beta branch. (I've send you private message with the instructions)

It seems that the beta branch solved my problem. I can restart from where I was before, and continue after quit the game. My language settings are all Simplified Chinese.

Released version 2.0.20, please confirm that it fixes the issue for you. If you are on the beta branch you can change back to the default now.
