Nothing.
PC hasn't changed.
If so try COMPLETELY removing the driver, google how to do it, reinstall, see if fix. If not rollback to a previous driver, or a few rollback revisions to see if that works.
It's not a matter of IF you'll get a blackscreen with Nvidia 40-50 cards, it's a matter of WHEN. They completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ all the things when they launched the Nvidia app to replace the older software. Lots of reputable tech news has been reporting this for months now.
Nvidia RTX 3060 with 12Gb on the card. System has 32Gb of RAM.
It'll still be using the same driver set as 40xx or 50xx series cards.
The updated drivers came out in Jan '25, #522.xx I think (bad memory).
Remove the latest drivers using DDU and install the Dec '24 driver set.
You should be good to go.
I'm surprised Nvidia haven't sorted this problem out by now.
When I had an Nvidia card in, an update quite often had an 'adverse effect' on games graphics. They usually posted another update within a few days to sort it though.
But then again, this is a completely new driver set for the new 50xx cards. It is supposed to be fully compatible with the older cards. The big 'upgrade' (?) is the 4 x frame generation from 1 x frame generation of 40xx cards.
The Dec '24 driver set is the last one before the 50xx card driver set.

Let us know if it solved your issue. Be aware that a new driver 572.83 is also available to download that may, or may not, fix your problem.
Ty for this! Checking on my Nvidia settings, I see Game Ready Driver 572.47 is my current one. That being said, my Nvidia dashboard is showing a new driver ready for download---"Version 11.0.3.232 is ready to install".
Glad we could help, hopefully you can play the game again
After I got in, I went to the game settings and toggled the resolution to anything else then back to 1080p. I closed the game, switched my resolution back to 4k, then opened the game. The game then remembered to launch at 1080P since it can't handle 4k. viola. Zombie killing action at infuriatingly low FOV.
