This is clearly Sony testing the water to judge how much interest still exists for this franchise, and the only and last chance we, Days Gone fans, have to show Sony that there are still many players who want more of this game.

If people keep trashing Sony and crying about a remaster as has been the case since the trailer dropped, we will get nothing. But if the hype and sales are high enough and even bring in new players Sony might consider making a sequel once again (the new assets will be already done).

Bend has been out of Work for more than The Years they have spent to develop Daysgone 1 and they also failed to deliver Last Of Us 2 mutilplayer since 2018 or being generous by Sony 2019, not even a single Leak of their Work of Progress surface so Bend Studio Fell off to Doward Spiral for more than 7 years already without a Game. That's not a good sign for a Game Studio.

Even if they would make a sequel I'm pretty sure they don't have the talent anymore to pull this one off. And I don't want another beloved game to be ripped apart. Just look at what happened to Naughty Dog. They bled so much talent. It's just not the same company anymore.

By buying the DLC, you are not supporting the developers in any way at all. Bend Studio is not behind the DLC, Sony is, and Sony abandoned Bend Studio years ago. I wondered what they can do actually since Daysgone been killed by Anti white journalists and The Director for Daysgone is a mess of a guy to work with, this is not to mention how much Playstation US want Bend to do nothing new.

But we the PC players are almost getting nothing... what are we getting with this new DLC?

New accessibility features? No good to me - I don't need them.
Horde Assault mode? We already have something similar on the PC.
Permadeath... it's rather easy to just stop playing when you die than have a menu screen telling you that you need to start again.
Photo mode? Do people really care about ENHANCED features???

I've played the game in completion about 3 or 4 times. There's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way in hell I'm paying more for the game - I already paid full price for the game.

No, it is just Sony doing what they always do. trying to force console problems onto PC and seeing if it sticks. you buying this doesn't have a thing to do with "maybe they'll give us a sequel". that's what marketing has engineered you to think. "if i buy more of this maybe they will make more", "maybe if i buy this they'll notice it" lol.

Sony has been trying for years to force PC players to comply with console rules and this is just the most recent attempt. there is nothing new coming to PC, it is PC GFX going to console. they are selling accessibility features in a DLC and locking them in said DLC. game modes that would just be a free update are locked because Sony has to make money somehow with a console that doesn't have very many exclusives this generation so they charge 10 dollars to allow the new console to do its job.

imagine that, having the newest PS console and it runs like a PS4 cause you didn't pay 10 bucks to unlock a string of code to allow the new console to actually do its job. could you imagine if PC was that way? Looky looky you got the new 6090 GRTX from ncorp but you cant fully utilize it cause each game you own will only allow 40 series power unless you pay 10 bucks per game to allow the card to do its job and run the game better lol
