HERE IS WHY YOU MUST BUY THE DLC AND REMASTER!!!
This is clearly Sony testing the water to judge how much interest still exists for this franchise, and the only and last chance we, Days Gone fans, have to show Sony that there are still many players who want more of this game.

If people keep trashing Sony and crying about a remaster as has been the case since the trailer dropped, we will get nothing. But if the hype and sales are high enough and even bring in new players Sony might consider making a sequel once again (the new assets will be already done).

I have about 6 hours into this game and I love it. The only thing missing is co-op. Sony please make a sequel, Days Ahead and include co-op.
Game sold good even break through as being the first succesful PC port. So it boiled down to Playstation USA on what Bend Studio can do. If we never have daysgone 2, then so be it. I rather have DG end on cliff hanger as Deacon live happily with his Wife and Best Friends rather than it going to be a Narative disaster that’s infected with Modern BUZZ word.

Nah. It must just be Sony still trying to recoup the investment for the game's poor sales.

It did ???
When ?

The 2019 release PS4 game was buggy, and got poor reviews. As a result of the poor reviews it didn't sell as well as Sony expected, about 2 million before it was ported to PC. After the PC version was released in 2021 it has sold fairly well, about 7 million in total the last time I checked. That's a decent number, but it isn't outselling other first party Sony titles.
if it forces me to get a Sony account I wont. I am sick and tired of that practice that Ubisoft and EA does. I bought it in steam, I don't wan any other third party nothing

As far as I know, Sony has dropped their PSN requirement for all their games on PC.
It might still be required for PS users, I don't know. I don't have a PS or any console.

Lmao, if you think Sony gives a rat's @$$ then you're sadly mistaken. They just want a quick and effortless cash grab as usual.

Contrary to popular belief, the game actually did well, it's just Sony being Sony. I already bought the game, I'm not wasting my hard earned money on a useless remaster.

The execs at Sony can go fu/ck themselves.

Same here. I'd rather they not ruin the beauty of Days Gone by making a second game laden with woke stuff, virtue signalling, "the message", and identity politics.

Imagine in the second game and some character's main concern in the mids of a zombie apocalypse was that you refer to them the way they want "I'm sorry, I don't use she/her, I prefer they/them, please get that right." (Deacon proceeds to shoot her in the face) "They/Them that, you delusional fu/ck."

There's no reason to buy anything.

It's funny, Deathloop from around that same time was very buggy on launch, with broken AI. Yet, it got lots of 5/5 and even 10/10 perfect, or near perfect scores.

However Days Gone, one of the best games in recent years, with a great campaign, interesting characters and a unique horde mechanic, got no such slack from the gaming "journalists". I wonder why...

My point is, the traditional gaming press is mostly garbage, and Sony is highly invested in DEI and ESG, so a making a game around a "male and pale" working class biker is their last priority.

Yes, I'll buy the DLC, simply to support the developers. But don't hold your breath for a Days Gone 2. Sony would rather spend 500 million dollars on Concord, that says it all.

I like the game, alot, but I can´t shake the feeling of a tech demo. It promises alot but is broken. Calling it a remaster is only to make people pay up again. If they fixed the broken assets and other bugs in an UPDATE for free, as it should be, I might consider a remake. $ony just showing its true face trying to bleed us some more on a broken port.
Hard to take your point seriously when you reduce Days Gone to a broken tech demo LOL

Yea, tech demo is maybe a bit harsh. But if that´s what you pick out from my comment it´s hard to take you seriously. And I guess you played it on PS since your steam level is zero, game probably runs better there. My take is on the pc port.

Story is good, graphic ok but with the gameplay it feels like there is mechanics missing, making missions too repeatable. And all the bugs, assets not loading and stores disappearing make me lose the immersement. Having to reload frequently. That´s enough for me to call it broken and incomplete. This is where updates, free updates, come in. You fix the bugs in your game before you start waiving around with a remake. I will gladly pay for more content and improvements, but not for bug squishing.

Never had any bugs, must be your pc.

My dude doesn't even know how private Steam accounts look like in the discussions, fyi your Steam level is also zero lol

I have none of the issues you describe: "assets not loading, stores disappearing" and "having to reload frequently"? Are you running the game from a HDD or something? The game came out in 2021 on PC, and they released many patches and updates to fix known issues, what you describe sounds more like YOUR issue.

You're completely wrong. Days gone outsold both God of War AND Horizon Zero Dawn in japan on release. On top of that it was Sony's 7th highest debut for a game in terms of sales in north america. Thats very good for a brand new no history title in gaming.
