It did ???
When ?
The 2019 release PS4 game was buggy, and got poor reviews. As a result of the poor reviews it didn't sell as well as Sony expected, about 2 million before it was ported to PC. After the PC version was released in 2021 it has sold fairly well, about 7 million in total the last time I checked. That's a decent number, but it isn't outselling other first party Sony titles.
As far as I know, Sony has dropped their PSN requirement for all their games on PC.
It might still be required for PS users, I don't know. I don't have a PS or any console.
Contrary to popular belief, the game actually did well, it's just Sony being Sony. I already bought the game, I'm not wasting my hard earned money on a useless remaster.
The execs at Sony can go fu/ck themselves.
Imagine in the second game and some character's main concern in the mids of a zombie apocalypse was that you refer to them the way they want "I'm sorry, I don't use she/her, I prefer they/them, please get that right." (Deacon proceeds to shoot her in the face) "They/Them that, you delusional fu/ck."
It's funny, Deathloop from around that same time was very buggy on launch, with broken AI. Yet, it got lots of 5/5 and even 10/10 perfect, or near perfect scores.
However Days Gone, one of the best games in recent years, with a great campaign, interesting characters and a unique horde mechanic, got no such slack from the gaming "journalists". I wonder why...
My point is, the traditional gaming press is mostly garbage, and Sony is highly invested in DEI and ESG, so a making a game around a "male and pale" working class biker is their last priority.
Yes, I'll buy the DLC, simply to support the developers. But don't hold your breath for a Days Gone 2. Sony would rather spend 500 million dollars on Concord, that says it all.
Yea, tech demo is maybe a bit harsh. But if that´s what you pick out from my comment it´s hard to take you seriously. And I guess you played it on PS since your steam level is zero, game probably runs better there. My take is on the pc port.
Story is good, graphic ok but with the gameplay it feels like there is mechanics missing, making missions too repeatable. And all the bugs, assets not loading and stores disappearing make me lose the immersement. Having to reload frequently. That´s enough for me to call it broken and incomplete. This is where updates, free updates, come in. You fix the bugs in your game before you start waiving around with a remake. I will gladly pay for more content and improvements, but not for bug squishing.
My dude doesn't even know how private Steam accounts look like in the discussions, fyi your Steam level is also zero lol
I have none of the issues you describe: "assets not loading, stores disappearing" and "having to reload frequently"? Are you running the game from a HDD or something? The game came out in 2021 on PC, and they released many patches and updates to fix known issues, what you describe sounds more like YOUR issue.
