DLSS is already in the game. just swap out the DLL files to add the DLSS 4 Transfomer based upscaler.
And framegen? really? this game is easy to run already.

Lies there is no DLSS in this game.
no, you are actually right. huh. misremembered! but then considering a 3070 can run this above 90 fps at 4K maxed out? is it needed?

The game already uses DLSS. The developer in charge of Anti Aliasing was an EX Nvidia employee, and he made TAA look like DLAA. There are many similarities, even that odd blurriness you get with DLAA when the image is in motion, and then goes straight to ultra sharp when you're standing still.

The developer in charge of Anti Aliasing at Bend is an Nvidia EX employee. He actually secretly implemented DLAA in the game as default Anti Aliasing. He did this before DLSS was a thing. Also, DLAA derives from TAA, (TSSAA) so you can run it on any GPU. There's no hardware limitation. You probably remembered the game had DLSS because of this developer I'm talking about. This is why Days Gone is the only playstation game that looks extremely sharp and beautiful.

what? first I heard of this, still need DLSS Frame Gen since 4K 240hz OLED is a thing now. And actual DLSS/FSR/TSR/XeSS is still good to have to to scale from 1440p > 4K and gain extra performance boost.

Pretty sure this will get DLSS and FSR as part of the remaster. Hopefully some improvements to the GI, particle and post processing effects as well. Beyond that really no other updates are needed.
Would be nice to have DLSS now since its pretty much industry standard by now.
DLSS in the remaster

Rereading all the announcements it does seem like only the new content is coming to PC, no graphical enhancements. Super disappointing.

There are textures enhancements in trailer and for example flashlight model attached to player compared to PC maxed settings so I hope whatever render and models changes they put to PS5/PS5 pro versions it will also be incorporated into PC build. But I dont want DLSS because if they wanted to add DLSS it means they have to change directx API to DX12 which would be bad thing considering this remaster is hot cook by Climax studio and optimize UE4 game in DX12 is pain especially if Days Gone has very custom version of UE4 created by bend especially Graham Aldridge itself.

Oh good spot! I take your point. Would be a crime if DX12 introduced stutter. I would just want AA that DLSS introduces.

DLSS can be implemented in DX11 titles.

This is nonsense. The game uses a modified UE4.11, there is nothing in the game using any form of DLAA/DLSS.
