Cannot start another NG+

So I'm coming back to DG after a couple years. I played it and beat it in 2022. Never did NG+. So I load it back up and start a NG+ on easy just to get a hang of the controls and see how it works. Everything starts fine.

So I go back to the main menu to start a NG+ on survival. It will not allow me. No matter which save file I select it tells me none of them have a completed game. Did starting the first NG+ just lock me out of starting any more? I havent even left the game since I started the easy NG+. Do I have to rip through the story again just to start a new NG+?????

Ok so the save I used to start the easy NG+ appears to have vanished. Probably replaced by the NG+. Any other manual saves I have are from before the game ended in my original playthrough. It looks as if starting a NG+ has locked me out of starting another NG+ until, I guess, I finish the one I started. This is kind of broken. Very disappointed.

You could download a save if you don't have a save near the end mission, which you could just complete again.

Can't you just up the difficulty, and continue the same NG+ ?
When you start a Hard or Survival game or NG+, you're told you can't reduce the difficulty. I'd guessed that this mean't you could up the difficulty in an easier setting.

I could but I was going to go for the achievement that you get on survival. I think i have to start the save in that mode.

i think u must play new game again start on "easy mode" after finish all missions 100%, play NG+ survival 2 finish all achievements.
I get all achievements already.

The achievement is two plus two, I think, something like that anyway.
You get it for NG+ on Hard 2 or Survival 2.
As you can't restart an NG+ anyway, I'd up the difficulty to Hard 2 and play it through. If you get the achievement, great, you've got it. If you don't, play a new NG+ on Survival 2 to get it.

im dealing with the EXACT same thing for the same reasons, have you or anyone else figured out a way to restart NG + while you have a new NG+ started?

I haven't messed with it since then. Was sort of bummed out by the whole thing. I think I should be able to start an infinite number of NG+ from my original completed save game. IDK if the developers overlooked this or it was an intentional thing. It sucks though.

I guess I just have to plow through the current NG+. It's on easy so it shouldn't be too hard if I just grind the story missions as fast as I can. I'm blowing through all enemies pretty easily. lol

Someone in the comments above recommended just downloading a completed save game from the Nexus mod site. I may just do that.

careful I downloaded a save from nexusmods once and all achievements for the game where added to my game for another game I had to use SAM to fix it

Yea that's a good point to make. I guess that would kind of defeat the purpose of what I was complaining about. lol
