Dualsense STILL NOT FIXED
Why is it so hard to fix the haptic vibration? It's been 15 days and still no useful update...

Because they are going to release one patch that fixes, hopefully, everything, instead of releasing 20 patches that each fix one thing. They'll also hopefully be testing this patch to try and ensure it doesn't break anything else.

The point is that they did not recognized Dualsense on PC has issues. They just said to use USB cable for those having issues. I'd like to see somewhere they are working to fix it but so far it seems to me they think it's totally fine and it's our fault, while it is not at all. For instance, 3D audio is broken as well as all the rear channels are missing.

As usual, PC players have low priority and attention from these console games companies.. While if one day Days Gone2 will see the light, it's thanks also to our wallets whch paid this game and its DLC on PC too.

Well, the latest patch from 5/9/2025 didn't fix everything, so it looks like they are releasing smaller patches. Might be smart that way so they can fix each problem. Just wish they fixed the sound issue being muffled with dialog and other things (such as menu switch sounds - when switching between menu items, it's too quiet and I can't hear it at all, and dialog is way too muffled).
Well did you send a bug/glitch report to Bend?
If you didn't, but left it for somebody to send, there's the problem. Somebody left it to anybody, but anybody left it somebody, in the end nobody sent one.
As a result, Bend wasn't told there was a widespread problem, so didn't fix it.
If you did, probably everybody thought you were the somebody, so didn't bother.

They also didn't say to use USB cable for those having issues.
They did say Haptic Feedback needs a cable connection to work. This was in the notes for the parch/remaster 1.08 well before release.

Considering it is, as you say, a PS game and a Sony IP, it isn't surprising they concentrate on PS issues. Their wallets also paid for this game and DLC.

Yes, I did since the first release of this "upgrade".

Yeah, was so hoping that the Dualsense on PC is now working but it's not. Still only trigger effects and no haptic feedback. I had a bad feeling about this.

Well, it works on all other games, so it should not be too hard to fix...
There's probably a totally logical reason for this but my haptics and adaptive triggers are working perfectly on PC.

For anyone who is having problems, are you running ANY addons, or did you ever have addons installed? REPAIR THE GAME!

If you're not running addons, do you have Steam controller settings DISABLED? If not YOU MUST DISABLE STEAM INPUT!

If you have Steam Input disabled do you have the in-game controller actually set to Dualsense controller? IT MUST BE SET IN-GAME TO THE DUALSENSE CONTROLLER FOR ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS TO WORK!

Again, this stuff works. But if you have Steam input enabled then NO it will not work. If you have the in-game controller set to PS4 DualSHOCK controller then again NO IT WILL NOT WORK.

If you're NOT using a PS5 Dualsense controller then obviously NO YOU WILL NOT HAVE ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS...

Willing to help folks figure it out if you're still having problems, actually have a PS5 Dualsense controller that is USB CONNECTED WHICH IS REQUIRED! And are still having issues.

For me the triggers always work correctly in all circumstances.

While the haptic works ONLY if I use the DualSense as main audio device, so I'm forced to play with the headset connected in the controller, AND ONLY if I enable the 3D audio.
This way the haptic works, BUT ONLY for the audio effects like the thunders, the gun shots, etc. While, for example, the bike and other physical effects are all missing. When I'm on bike I only have a constant slight vibration that, at beginning, I thought it was ok because I thought it was the engine, but then I noticed those tons of different bike settings in the controller section ... the engine, the breaks, the skids, the nitro, and I realized they were all actually missing. I only had this contant siglht vibration.
Also, with 3D audio on, sound is very bad and I can't hear anything behind me, like it's missing some channels.

I have aboslutely no issue in any other PS game on Steam on both 3Daudio and dualsense features, and I've always played with USB cable and steaminput disabled.

I'm wondering if you actually know how the haptic should work in this game. I mean, probably you think it's working because you feel some effects while actually it's broken for you too. You should try it on PS5 and compare both versions.

I have ALL these things correct and did a clean install of the game. But only the triggers work correct. That is the point

The implementation is crap. I think they just copypasted the thing from PS5 but haptic feedback on pc works differently...

I can confirm no "rumbles" but triggers work with steam input disabled and connected through USB.
Edit: Going in audio settings ingame and changing from stereo headset to 3d or 5.1 headset makes the rumble work, but not properly I suppose.

I believe you have to set this controller to be an additional audio output devise, and it has to be wired via usb.
+1
Anyway this DLC which is the PS5 version was supposed to give us a full DualSense support. We have pay for.
You don't have to pay for the DLC on PC to get the full dualsense controller support. You do have to be running the current patched version of the game though.

(EDIT: I have NOT purchased the DLC on Steam yet)

Yes I do have the haptics and adaptive triggers working properly, I also own the game on the PS5 and just did a side-by-side comparison to double check. Variable rumble from the engine, jumping the bike, encountering a horde, etc. Full adaptive triggers for the guns.

My windows sound settings are like this.

-Dualsense set to default INPUT device (microphone), both of the "exclusive mode" options are checked.

-Dualsense controller speaker ENABLED, but I have other speakers set to default device. Spatial sound OFF, both of the "exclusive mode" options are checked.

I do have the latest firmware installed on the controllers. Running on Windows 11
