This ain't ever getting fixed btw, its an isssue of a slop of an engine called UE with the devs of ue claiming forever that a fix is coming, esp in the latest version of UE yet to release...
Same thing happens on Oblivion with UE 5.
Playing through the second time after several months and now the game is ruined.
It better be because this is a massive issue.
However, when I first installed it I had brutal performance - my VRAM on my 12GB 3060 was being topped out which made no sense. Was pretty sure I didn't have any mods installed, but regardless googling it, it's strongly recommended to erase the Config folder in \%localappdata%\Bendgame\Saved.
Once I did that and reconfigured my settings, performance was back to normal.
System:
i5-12400f
32GB DDR4 3200
RTX 12GB 3060
Edit: Oh, should add that I always avoid the game's built-in FPS limiter as well as its vsync. Force vsync on through your control panel and use someting like Rivatuner if you want to limit your frames. This isn't specific to this new update, but I found with lots of testing previously the game's FPS limiter really does a number on your frametime consistency, at least on the two systems I've played this game on.
