Not at all. I praise the FOV option in this game and feel its quite adequate.
When you enter camera mode and go to 100 FOV that’s in line with most games options and what I expected.
Nobody is equal, I also use wider resolutions and prefer wider FOVs (my best settings is 120 horizontal or 89 vertical). This game have quite acceptable and playable FOV, but game character is too close).
Back to the settings I have found variable in config file for FOV but unfortunately changing it do nothing - developers somehow locked it. Here is the path:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\BendGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini
FOV=100.000000 - changing it to bigger values do nothing and setting is changed to old value after running the game.
Please let me know if you find any solution for FOV changing.
By comparison, Horizon Zero Dawn's FoV slider has real, noticeable impact.
Exactly, Horizon's FOV is perfect with max value, the same in AC Odyssey or Red Dead Redemption 2. In Days Gone maybe it changing a little using slider by still main character is too close. Developers should add higher values to slider or at least unlock changes in config files.
Yea, I wrote you about CE file few post earlier but I do not like using CheatEngine. The game using Unreal Engine 4 so I am sure that someone will find better solution without hacking a memory.
No way was the FOV slider perfect at max value in RDR2 if you were using first person. I had to use the FOV mod to get it at something playable
Perfect for TPP, yes FOV in RDR2 using first person without MOD is unplayable...but third person is perfect for me with max value.
Dont get me wrong I totally commend the developers putting in the slider, and 9/10 times I need to adjust/make bigger the FOV in almost every FPS game, but cant ever remember having issue with a third person game.
