Sites like that Literally sell good reviews. There's no reason to listen to them. That's why every store page on steam has a review section for those whole actually played the game.

W.TF.?! I played Mad Max. I loved it. But how the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ isn't Max sad? Max Rockatansky is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy, sad, mumbling driver who only cares about his car. A badass one, but still. That Andy guy is kinda dumb. Does he even knows what happens in the final missions? Jesus, journos really are rtards.

It depends how people connect to characters. I agree with you 100% that is why reviewer don't go emcional over some reviews they write!

i have never played this game or watched any videos of it, so i might be wrong. but if what you say is true and it takes 10+ hours for the game to get good then its clearly poorly designed. most people won't be playing a game they do not enjoy for 10 hours and hope that it gets better

I have Mad Max and Days Gone on PS4 and Days Gone is alot better

Go online and there are tons of bad reviews for this game. They claim it is open world survival. But it isn't. That's just to pull you in. Tons of bugs still there on PS more than a yr after release. I was hoping for a revised, better version on PC. But this is just a cash grab, no improvements, no added content, not many bug fixes. Not worth $50 - Will wait till it goes on sale for $20

I stopped reading reviews from main stream media sites a long time ago. PCG is only good for one thing, news about upcoming games. All their other articles are trash and they heavily moderate their comments to censure any criticism of their writing.

I guess they know what they’re writing is trash but just don’t want to admit to it or argue about it so they delete anything that makes them feel bad.

But yeah, only thing I use them for is to note down upcoming games.

I stopped reading their reviews because they don’t break down the game like a lot of independent YouTubers do. Seems like they’re the true gamer reviewers.

I haven't played Days Gone either. I have pre-ordered it and am very excited. But there are many games which take a few hours to get going. RDR2 is such a game, and even witcher 3 to some extent. KCD was exceptionally boring in its first few hours too.

You don't know what you're talking about. I bought this game when it first came out on PS4 Pro and finished it a month ago on PS5. I never ran into any bugs. On both consoles it ran smoothly, especially on PS5 at 60 fps. The game is open world survival. You loot houses, buildings, cars, and a whole host of other places for crafting materials and ammo just to survive against all the dangers in the world, including massive hordes. There's plenty to do and even while free roaming there'll be moments that catch you off guard and have your heart thumping. I'll admit, I wasn't sure how good the game was going to be for the first 5 or so hours, but when I unlocked a new area, I was hooked.

I think Mad Max was a better game, but DG is definitely worth playing. I finished it on PS4, and I intend to finish it again on PC. Good story, complex characters and fun gameplay is enough for me.

ACG reviews are terrible. I can watch one and have no clue wtf the game is about. Though he makes great use of a thesaurus so I guess makes his reviews seem a lot better then they are.
