Windows 7?
Very happy that this gem is coming to PC but wondering if it runs on Win7. It's using Direct X 11 so I guess it should run on 7?

Have a nice day :winter2019happydog:

As for Win7 users, I would suggest you to update the Win7 SP1 by using Simplix pack (all updates, even the 2021 April ones BUT spyware and telemetry updates removed) and that will get you DX12 Beta update or google the update for that and get it installed which enables some DX11.x featureset, this DX11.x only available on Win8.1 which is why Mafia DE runs on Win 8.1 without any dll file mod else Win7 SP1 users need to get DXVK installed, it's a .dll file from github and that's all you need to run on Borderless windowed mode and not fullscreen the DX11 games that say Win10 only run like that. So we can hope this game will run on Win7 without much issues. All the Mafia DE Win7 details are in the forum for it.

And a small tip for Win7 users, if you dont want that simplix pack but want NVMe TRIM support install KB2990941 update (find it as MS purposefully pulled it I guess) and if you want new updates get SHA256 patch KB4474419 (this is important to get updates as MS changed how updates are pushed with new signature signing verification) the fools who say Win7 doesn't get updates are having ZERO knowledge in IT or tech.

And the fact is RTX3090 and AMD 6900XT both support Win7.

Hope this helps.

Nothing new will run on Win7, it's a dead operating system, has been for years now.

And there's the first smartass... It's not new and almost everything works on Win7.

Call him a smart ass for telling the truth if you want, it won't change the fact that Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft and will be getting less and less support from developers.

Thank you! My ass is indeed very smart. It even managed to read the store page on its own. Especially the part where it says Windows 10 only.

Wait until the release for the community to try it and report feedback regarding win 7 compatibility.

True, I know that. But a lot of games have that and yet it still work on Win 7.
So if You don't have any actual intel...

How would you expect anyone to know when it's not out yet?

I guess wait and see for someone with Windows 7 to test it.

Anyone know if it will run on Windows 3.1? I don't like upgrading to current systems.

Well, I don't have visit every site, I'm not on Reddit, I'm not on social media and I am aware there are people here that may know more so I figured I'd ask. I think there are more people like me who are wondering about this.

But it is more probable that this thread will be overrun by hostile spammers.

High tech sorcery I say! Will it run on my druidic stone circle? What if I add stones?

You could always ask the developers, through twitter/email.I would think it's a case of QA testing on win 10 rigs only that as lead to the requirements.
Mizurazu Apr 15, 2021 @ 9:09am
Nioh 2 said Windows 10 in the store page but there was a fix that could make it run.
That said, don't count on this running perfectly even though it's DX11 since the minimum requirements for this game is still Windows 10. You can try and refund if it doesn't work.

But as others have mentioned, you're only going to hurt yourself by stubbornly sticking to windows 7. Future games, like RE8 will start shipping with DX12 only and the amount of games using it will only increase. Be annoyed with people all you want, the truth is, your OS is no longer officially supported and you'll be left in the dust not being able to play anything new.
