Currently installed on the HDD hard disk, it is said that the read speed installed on the SSD is not much.
Now it’s basically okay, and some strange phenomena will happen...
Trust me its there on a high end machina.
Myself got a high end and my kids got both a high end.... Its there on all 3. Nvme installed 2x6800xt and a 3060Ti with 5600x
There are some lags in the last mission that everyone is mentioning, but it doesn't involve the bike.
Its unreal engine known for this things. Horizon zero dawn had the same problems at least it is fixed while days gone still stuck.
I guess it's the Sony service running permanently in the background, gathering and sending data, which may interfere with your security settings in certain cases.
running the game as admin fixed it for me.
13:40 min
nope :(
Lowering your graphics will reduce the load on your PC to load those assets. Installing the game on an SSD will also help a lot since this is an open world game with a lot of assets constantly being loaded/reloaded as I just mentioned.
Edit: I played through the game on Medium/Low settings and never experienced any lag or stuttering issues at all while playing this game.
If you limit your fps to 30 you won't experience any slow downs or micro-stutters. However the game will look very bad and choppy so I would suggest to cap your frame-rate to 40 to 45 fps and the game will look smoother (it will still have some micro-stutter but not as bad)
I think the game was made for the ps4 with the fps capped at 30 and if you run it at anything above 60fps the game just feels stuttery.
It doesn't happen to everyone it seems, just happens to the unlucky ones like us.
Unfortunately, I doubt many PC gamers would be willing to play at a 30 fps cap.
the problem (stuttering bike driving) is with the data compression technology in the game.
Since very few game developers have an idea about the unreal 4 engine,
this problem will likely NEVER be resolved, which has not happened to date (03/01/2022)
The pc-game was released in february 2021!
Just look at Gears oif War 1 UE, 4 & 5. No stuttering, best frametimes.
That guys really knows how to program.
!!!ANY!!! workaround will not work, cause it's an engine problem!
Only the developers can fix it!
Next PC-Game from Sony is GOW.
I am curious whether this will also be such a technical disaster.
