I'm running an AMD R7 7700X, Asus AMD RX 7900 XT, 32GB DDR5, Asus X670E+ with a Corsair H115i Capellix AIO in a Lian Li 011D Evo case, all driving a Gigabyte M34WQ monitor.
If your original PC case restricted airflow too much, you'd want to swap it.
This game was originally a PS4 exclusive, released in 2019. I think the PS4 only did 60 or 90 fps, which an up-to-date PC can push out quite easily. Mine averages 140+ and is capped at 144fps which is my monitors max. It still pumps out a lot of heat
Before I got this ^ computer and monitor, I played it on a below minimum specs rig (potato), which is what I'd had for quite some time. I had a 22" 1080p monitor, factory locked at 60fps. I hadn't played any games at higher frame rates, obviously, but 60 fps seemed perfectly ok then. What I'd think of 60fps, now I'm used to much higher, I don't know.
I bought this rig through PCSpecialists in the UK. It wasn't cheap. But I spec'd a custom build with help from their forum, to get a good, balanced rig without overspending.
Now I attempt to help others through the same forum, and learn more about the newer hardware as I go.
This is a console port from many years ago. It was specifically developed with 60 FPS as the benchmark for performance and optimization. Getting over 60 is very much possible but you'll have to fiddle around until you get the right balance for your specific system. So on one of my systems I run it at 60 while on another I run it at 90. Both play, feel and look exactly the same. Best to lock it at 60 and enjoy the game.
Just as a note: I play games all the way up to 144 FPS depending on the type of game. To me, 60 always feels just about right and doesn't overly stress the system. Getting used to a specific FPS probably isn't the best idea. Best to allow your eyes and brain to remain flexible.
All based on my own experiences over the past 40 years. Your mileage my vary :)
Playing it at high frame rates on a PC will make the PC run hotter.
I haven't capped my frame rate, but I've set my graphics at the preset one down from ultra ultra in the AMD gpu software, which includes a frame rate cap, higher than 60. I think at that setting, the software chooses the best frame rate for the game that my rig can handle. It tells me I'm averaging 140+, I don't remember exactly.
My milage is 65+ years, but messing about with computers and games since the '80s.
I'm old, but not entirely an old fool, yet
Maybe, if you don't have to use Fullscreen Windowed, it's better to run it in Fullscreen.
