Sawmill Horde is CRAZY!!

Hi, i tried this horde for the fith time and they simply overwhelm me no matter what i try
I plant traps, bombs, use granates, plenty of molotovs but they still strong in number and just run me down.

It is my favorite.
You can thin them out. Kill a lot run away and get resources and then come back and set up to kill the rest.

So you mean you don't kill them all at once?

If you are having trouble with it or just run out of materials ya that is an option.

One reason for this game replay-ability is there's multiple ways to do anything.

Get up on the roofs and plan your escape.

The dual tanks by the rail tunnel make a good starting point, get right between them. Chuck a attractor, then a few grenades. Haul butt down the tunnel, and they will stop chasing you (Usually) at about half way. Turn around and shoot the stragglers. Rinse repeat. Hit and runs work well. You can chuck a few napalms to add to the carnage.

Wait for night, then sneak into where they hang out in the day and put bombs all round the place (the remote kind) then detonate them when they are in sleeping during the day. Gas cans added next to the bombs adds to the mayhem.

For a quick get away, figure out before the poop hits the air circulation device which direction you are going to attack from, and escape from. Place your bike facing in the direction that you are going to escape. Makes getting away all that much easier.

I did manage to take them partially head on. I waited to get the large LMG gun, and made sure I had ammo refills in my bike. Would rile them up and ride away for a bit until I found a semi long road that I could just tear into them.

Man... the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ adrenaline rush of killing all them ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ zombies freakers. 😎

is it not counted as a real horde? i just did it also and maybe im missing a swarmer somewhere

i made use of the Nero checkpoint nearby, you can use the speakers to your advantage and pull the horde out and have them swarm the checkpoint, from there i just pick them off from the hill nearby. Well, that's what work for me anyways.

You can cheese it...look up on YouTube ...but you will still need a ton of molotavs and gas etc

it's a game story horde. If you take it out too early, there's usually at least 1 freaker you can't find, to finish it off. When the point in the story comes when you have to take out that horde, you might have to take out the whole horde again, or you might just have to find the odd stragglers you couldn't find earlier
