Lost All Progress in Days Gone Challenges HELP PLS

Hello,

I’ve encountered a frustrating issue with Days Gone on Steam and I’m hoping someone here might have a solution.

Up until recently, I had achieved gold status on all challenges except for three (Black Friday, Surrounded, Infested). My goal was to reach gold on ‘Surrounded’, so I launched the game and started the challenge. However, as soon as I hit ‘Start Challenge’, my PC performed a hard reset - it shut off instantly and then rebooted. I suspect this was due to an overheating issue, which I believe I’ve now resolved.

When I restarted Days Gone and navigated to the challenges, I was dismayed to find that all my progress had been wiped. I was back to Rep 1, with zero money, no progress in any of the challenges, and no rings.

To make matters worse, it appears that Steam has backed up this ‘reset’ state of the game.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, do you have any recommendations on how to restore my lost progress? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Additional Note: Only the challenges are affected my Storyline progress is still playable and saved.

Damn, that really sucks, I guess the file got corrupted when the system crashed, then when you restarted Steam synced the corrupt file.

My only suggestion would be to reach out to Bend Studio and see what they suggest.

DId you find a solution? does Lord of War's save fix it?

Lord of War's save fixed mine, but then also gave me all the achievements. I only replaced the profile.sav file and was able to play on my own story save. BUT i did get all the achievements in the game, which was not what I wanted. I *THINK* editing the profile.sav with a notepad+ or something might allow you to choose which achievements you get. but idk.

Sorry I don't want to use someone elses save files so I didn't try. No I haven't found a solution sadly
