Profanity Filter?
So before I bought Days Gone I had read in multiple reviews that the game had a profanity filter in the settings. (It's just a preference thing, I know what the rating says). After playing for a while I went through the options menu and looked at every tab, but I did not find anything of the sort. So I wanted to find out if anyone else knew anything about this or if the reviews I read were just bs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
-Rebel

Was never an option, will never be an option, was never discussed and was never requested. No idea what reviews you are reading/watching, but make sure to leave a dislike on those.

Appreciate the insight, I kinda figured it didn't exist but I wanted to confirm. Thanks

While there's profanity in game it's not excessive or often, only really during certain skippable cutscenes.

And sometimes with Deacon, but there's a mod on Nexus which silences hisv excessive callouts

"Excessive callouts" ???
Now I am Scottish and an ordinary working man, a truck driver But although I noticed Deacons swearing, I never considered it excessive, just fairly normal. He's a biker, a bike mechanic, an ex-soldier and an apocalypse survivor. People in any of those situations are very likely to swear.

Yeah, when he starts ranting away to himself, it gets annoying after a while but I give you kudos for being Scottish, having lived in that great country twice myself :)

yeah I never considered it excessive in this game.

Watch a scorsese, tarantino, or any movie with jack nicholson in it and you'll hear a lot of use of the f bomb. That is what I call excessive.

As a soldier, I lived in England, Cyprus and then Germany, 12 years service, 7 of those in Germany.
These days, I'm a long(ish) distance truck driver. Driving loads of goods to Switzerland or Germany and then returning with goods to Scotland. I drove all over Great Britain for 10 years as well. I'll be retiring early next year..
Scotland has always been home though. Where were you living in Scotland? It's only a small country, but with wide contrasts between the central belt, the Highlands and the Southern Uplands.

I lived in Eyemouth on the East cost for around 6 months, and on Arran (Brodick and Lamlash) for almost 2 years, funnily enough I was Army as well, REME.

Eyemouth??? That's almost England :steamhappy::steamhappy:

I've never actually been to Arran :steamfacepalm:
All the way around it, on the mainland. I worked out of Invararay for a week, delivering building materials for the local builders merchant, so Cambelltown, Tighnabruaich and so on. I even had a holiday cottage up there one year, just outside Carradale. Despite all that, I still haven't been to Arran. That's something I'll have to do at some point.
