Beginner Gas Problem

I am kinda new to the game and have almost just started playing.
I ran into a situation i was driving and my bike ran out of fuel
and there was no fuel station or tow trucks with fuel cans that i could see.
And i didnt want to drag my motorcycle around down the road it would take forever to walk towards nearest gas station.
So i ran to the gas station and took the fuel can back to the bike took forever is there a tip for an easier and fast way?

If your in a camp you can make the mechanic get your bike back, for a fee. Just always make sure you never ran out of gas.

Take out Nero and ambush camps as quick as possible. They are marked after you wipe them out and will always provide a regenerating red can.

Look for settlements and tow trucks too. They are always abandoned on the road.

In the beginning you have to plan around fuel. So always dump money into upgrading into a bigger tank not guns. (The trash-tier AK works perfectly fine in early game.)

Always fuel up everytime you can, where ever you can. Don't let it go down too far, I always managed to fill it up even if it was still at 80%.

as you progress in the game, clear out the nests around gas stations. pumps still work

I suppose it's supposed to simulate what would happen post apocalypse, there would be no fuel. Also no bike uses fuel as quickly as these old bikes.

But in the game, why can't Deek strap a couple cans to the bike.

Because it would lose it's effect.
