I don't know what the author of this information is taking, but he should definitely take half or twice as much

It’s there to help the devs understand how the game is performing on their rigs. Some people find this as a privacy invasion even though it’s suppose to help the devs make days gone run better. Sense it blew up the devs tried their best to fix what they can but pretty much all users rejected it and so support died out pretty quick. Any bugs/performance you may experience from this point on will not be fixed. This is what I gathered.

so they stopped fixing the game but they still gather your private pics
You can turn it off now. No one is collecting your data anymore even if you leave it on. It was just there to help support the devs to find bugs and performance issues. They won’t remove it because it quicker to give the player an option to turn it off directly and you only have to do it once so it’s not that big of a deal.

Ouch, damn, "Limited Data" aren't "No data / off". Well sadly i can't play that game.

All games collect limited data in the least.

Have you read the RDR2 EULA?

You can just not allow the game it access the internet via the firewall. Pretty simple instructions here: https://www.nexusmods.com/daysgone/mods/480

R* is a cancer, ubisoft is a cancer, steam is a cancer also.
Ik these bitchies will collect some stuff.

Just read rdr2/r* eula->privacy doc, well, collect during direct usage (ip/mac for example) and shared stuff (like when you "attach" steam or other accs to r*).

Nothing about direct keylogger.

Yep ik, but better if the game do it from the box. If devs still collect and doesn't allow to disable it, ir will be a good reason for me to ignore the game. Same if game aren't optimised or devs ignore players (=clients) after start.
My windows have 0 private stuff, just stupid games. I don't consider M$ software as a secure products.

Well, sad to know that it use "limited" instead of "just off" data collection.

It's so funny to see all of you guys panicking because some app collects your data.
Never understood what's the problem here lmao. Probably the worst thing they may find is your nsfw stuff history. Most likely the collectors will be living in completely different country and will never check all of your pointless data.

The only real point of data collection as a whole - to keep ad machine properly going.

I dunno. Even if my data will be collected and sold on some of the markets - what's the point? What are you all scared of, silly boys?

Did yall read the privacy policy it states what they collect. No game collects your personal photos unless its photo based and you choose to upload it. Why would any game developer care about random pics when if they need them they can use an AI photo gen instead??

It specifically states what information they collect. No where does it say your personal documents and photos. It says they store either on a server or your pc the information they need. ISP,IP, system specs ect. Nothing about a Keylogger that logs your key strokes. Or anything about your Documents or personal photos.

BUT ill tell you who does take pretty much all you got. You ever read Snap Chats terms and conditions?? And their Privacy Policy? They take everything. When you first launch and start the game it gives you all the information on what they collect. I always read these with games cause some try to take ownership of anything you create as well in content.

That Keylogger assertion is pure nonsense. The game is collecting some telemetry data, like most other games or game launcher do nowadays.

But Its on you to decide how much, your are willing to share and the game will ask you about that when starting the 1st game.

BTW: Valve's steam alone will collect way more data from you than any other game you can buy on this platform.

There are no panic at all. Just that i find it stupid to buy a game who collect data w/o possibility to disable it.
This new standard: you PAY money and have NO choice! Well, i have a choice to not to buy it. Thats all.
This thread not about "ohh they steal something!" thats about "ohh, these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wanna do it and force to do it".
