On the fence about getting this game. What stuff is there to do aside from main story?
Is the open world worth exploring, or is it a ass creed checklist snoozefest ?

Lots of stuff to do, like collectibles, hordes, side quests. The side quests (100% each region) takes several hours alone that will add to the total playtime for a 100% game save. I enjoyed the side quests and tasking out the hordes and stuff.

You definitely have tons of stuff to do and that includes optional side quests. You'll want to do everything if you're the type that wants to unlock all the achievements!

Sadly it will become just like that if you're looking to actually 100% the game and only Trophy Hunting. But don't worry because despite copying Ubisoft formula to Extend the Playtime in the Open World, they too copy then Push (Things will be simple then became complicated and more Rewarding) the very best aspect of it (NPC variety that's uncommon to Main Story and sometime scripting Events for it) and add in the Random Events of Red Dead Redemption 1 (The one that's RNG and Unlimited) so you would still have some sort of fun run around outside of Main Story. Most Open World game treat these section like a interactive Loading Screen but here in Days Gone is kinda like Far Cry 2 where your action will affect your Preparation for what ever come next while The Game try to F you over anytime they have a chance.

you have to find posts on the map or places where you can find thing that gives you more hp, more stamina or more slowmotion i think. You can choose one of this each time, you also have to clear camps and find blueprints. You want to fight hordes of zombies, some of them are really hard if you dont know terrian well. There is a lot of side missions. You want to upgrade your motorcycle too. this game is worth the money for sure but i played it on ps5. I also think main story is really good
