Low FPS Suddenly
I've been playing for hours and when I got to the Hot Springs camp the framerate suddenly starting dipping into 20's and even 10's for 99%. I have Ryzen 7700X, RTX 4090, and 32GB RAM, I know it's not a hardware limitation. It was playing great up til that point but now I don't really want to play it anymore if this issue persists.

wow that should never happen with a setup like that im getting almost 200 fps on my setup with a 3070 RTX and a 12 gen 12700f and 64 gigs of ddr5 @ 4x16 and my monitor is 1080p using max settings in the game ultra high and optimized in the geforce experience app... ide say reboot the pc and reload steam and the game and go from there disable all programs down by the clock and dont have any antivirus running it all adds up and takes away from the game.
I have exactly the same configuration as chugzillafx, yet I constantly have frame drops. Especially when I'm on a motorcycle. However, this drop is not visible in the fps, it looks like it loads texture in the background or something. Overall I'm doing 200 fps but I often have some kind of mini freeze and it becomes almost unplayable at times, whether I'm in low or high quality, the problem remains the same. I also have a big fps drop in the cities. I've already done everything, even formatted the PC, but nothing works, and I only have problems with this game. The rest is fine.

SLI is dead, Nvidia doesn't even support it anymore on newer cards, todays GPU's don't need it anyway, they are fast enough as is

also CPU upgrades will only help on games that are heavy on Physics, days gone is not as its a old ported PS3 game

I think the game is just poorly optimized and will probably never be updated. Shame since it was one of my favorite PS4 games and I was really looking forward to playing through on PC.
