challenge mode broke game

I was loving this game for a week. Then I tried challenge mode. I spent all day with the most no-fun frustrating aggravation, watched much YouTube and could only bronze half the challenges, yeah so i suck big-time, so what, bronze should be easy mode at least, but no. Now the desire to play this game is gone, challenge mode broke me. Hey Bend Studios why don't you bend over and stuff your challenge mode up your dirtpipe sideways.

The challenges can be done in one go. But you'd have to be very familiar with the layouts and items in the area. Otherwise they're really meant to be done like stepping stones. Medal one challenge. Buy ring and earn patch. Use that to do the same or get a higher tier score in another challenge. Upgrade rings. Use that to do the same or get higher tier score in another challenge. So on and so forth until all is gold.

It's not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode but a lot of people fool themselves into thinking they can do it all in one go. You just need to grind out for stat boosts. Lots of games do this.

maybe ill give it another go, but in game i like to sneak and run when needed, and i just couldnt deal with a gimp inventory and out of bounds and the relentless frenzy of a million zombies trying to T-bag me all at once, sucked out all my mojo. Other games usually hand out bronze like its nothing.

If you're not looking to 100% the achievements then don't bother with the challenges. They were a free update that came out after the release and though the bonuses they provide do work in the main game, they're really not essential. But if achievements are the plan then there are a bunch of guides. Borislav247 has a bunch of videos where he golds off fresh starts. Look up his all challenges in under an hour video if interested.

whatched much Borislav247 today, i could not reproduce his quick easy golds, lol, he got them skills, i just need to gitgud, if i get all bronzed, i will never touch challenge mode again and resume enjoying game, i was content to ignore challenges till i heard about patches.

Patches for Deacons cut, and rings, are not essential for the game. You can 100% the game without them. There are perks that go with earning patches and rings, which carry through to the game. They make the game slightly easier I believe. Slightly better lasting health, stamina and focus, I think, depending on what patches and rings you win. Slightly more accurate shooting, maybe the cross hairs are a bit tighter. Things like that. The emphasis is on 'slightly' though.

Same here, challenge mode almost made me hate this game, but some people recommended a youtube channel and for my surprise they were right, the name is Borislav247, that dude is amazing the way he teaches gave me confidence to not give up and try again, after following he's guides i managed to get gold in all the challenges, i really recommend you to give a try on his channel.

Hmm! I might give challenges another go then.
I've managed Bronze on a few challenges, and failed miserably on most of them, but just going in and having a go. No prior instruction on how to beat them. This might give me enough instruction on how to win

got back to grinding out miserable defeats and upgraded a few rings and made some progress, with borislav247's help im sure i can get all bronze soon, and never do challenges again. looking forward to getting back to the main game that i am really enjoying. some sleep and a steam tantrum has restored my mojo, back to the grind!

Look on Nexusmods, there's an auto-max points mod. Then get on with the game, with the bonuses from Challenge mode.

I never struggled so hard for a set of bronze before, the patch buffs don't add up to much, but the real reward is that i am done with challenges, thanks everybody, especially borislav247.

Yes, UNTIL i write down every step in detail, which way to go, which weapon to pickup on note taking apps on my phone

I Put my phone below my monitor scree, so i can replicate, and ofcourse, i failed many times lol, but it mades me remember the path, remember which way, after i can memorized the pattern, i can do bronze, silver, and finally gold

Now i have 4 Gold Challenge, still long way to go
