Report a translation problem
The river jump is a double jump btw, so keep the wick turned up. Nitro boost jump one, finger OFF the boost button while flying, then nitro boost again. Landing in the river, close enough to land is ok. But all that equipment Deak carries weighs him down. That's why he can't swim far. So the further you can fly it, the better. You don't want the bike in deep water.
Strangely, you can start and ride the bike in deepish water, as long as Deak can breathe. If only that was possible in real life
But for collecting 16 pieces IPCA "chips" all over the 2 maps they expect that we still want to do stunt jumps with that annoying bike? And for what? A Stun Gun?
On my 2nd playthrough I'm still equipped the same way than before:
1.) Chicago Chopper
2.) MG-55
3.) Little Stubby
...cause that makes it easier to kill hordes or bigger enemy bulks. Funnily I bought the other weapons and their upgrades, too. But I don't see, why I should go onto missions or onto freelancing around the map with weapons for which I have only 20-40 rounds (except for Little Stubby) in total and which cost me a fortune to replenish them. And for other Snipers I just take my Chicago Chopper + Focus Shot and still have enough range. Sure, a Sniper Rifle would make this easier, but only slightly. But for 1 round from a Sniper Rifle I pay 25 Camp Pts - which doesn't feel right. Even though I have my 100k camp pts in some camps I don't like this.
And when I suddenly run into a Horde? Or two? Sprinters-included? Then Chicago Chopper alone might not be enough. Especially cause I don't want to permanently refill it to the brim again. That's where the MG-55 (or the RPD (or early on the MG-45)) gets handy.
Before I had the Chicago Chopper I loved the SWAT-10. I'd even say the SWAT-10 felt a little bit more accurate. I soooooooo hoped that there'd be a better version of the SWAT-10 ingame (like a military- or Spec Ops grade-version with a bit more dmg- and reserve-ammo). Well... since I switched to Chicago Chopper that didn't matter at all anymore. That thing is near-godlike. Only the Auto-Shotty might be better on short-range dmg-wise. However, with the Auto-Shotgun you've in deed a range-issue and it's lesser effective on hordes. The Auto-Shotty is super vs. Wolves, Pumas and Mutant-Wolves and maybe Breachers and Sprinters, but vs. Hordes dmg-output doesn't matter that much and the Auto-Shotty has almost zero spread-effect. Most of the time - even on Hordes - you just hit single Freakers. So vs Hordes the Chicago Chopper still wins.
So idk, I don't want to switch my weapons every 10 mins or recharge ammo every 20-30 shots. That's kinda why 2nd playthrough feels exactly like 1st playthrough. I kinda doubt that a Stun Gun would've changed this. And for that I don't sink my bike in some river or lake...sry xD
I agree. Second play through is pretty easy on New Game+, you have all the best weapons, every single skill, boatloads of credits , and maxed trust at every camp.
I find the Chopper, Stubby, MG-55 combo the best combination of damage, accuracy, and magazine capacity in the game. You have already faced down the hordes, and know how to take them down fast. Nothing really intimidating left to face, so the game feels a LOT less intense.
Finding all the tech is just like getting all the trophies and collectibles. The IPCA weapon, itself, is pretty much a trophy.
I do disagree about the bike, as the maxed bike does make the jumps and chases much easier and more forgiving.
1. The Crater Lake one is pretty easy. You have to upgrade your Bike for Top speed and Nitro. Get to a fast speed using nitro too use the ramp to launch yourself onto the Island. Get the stuff. There is a Ramp on the Island to land on the shore where you can get back up to the road.
I wouldn't call it a puzzle since it's simply just a bike upgrade locked bit of platforming. If your not making it onto the Island the Bike isn't going fast enough. In which case focus on doing side missions and stuff to get the rep and money needed for the upgrades your presently lacking. This pattern is repeated so many times the fact you did this for other ones but didn't notice that was the case here is shocking.
2. Same deal as above. On the main road running along the river is an ramp. Only thing different here is that Ramp aims for an Island in the middle of the River that has nothing.. Except for another Ramp to jump the other stretch of the River to your prize. And with the Prize location reached you guessed it. There is a Ramp aimed to get you all the way across the river to the shore.
Your Motorcycle is a major element to your character with a high focus on upgrading it, to not only restore it's lost glory but surpass it. Motorcycles are king in the setting. In Mad Max it's Cars. Here it's Bikes. Your bike is and will always be important.
For me, I wanted to get as much entertainment value as I could for my $15 payout. I had heard people talk about how easy it is on NG+ even at the hardest difficulty levels, so I really wanted to maintain that vulnerable vibe as long as possible.
I'm doing my first NG+ game, then I will probably shelve it for a while and come back again with a new game on basic format with none of the NG+ advantages.
I don't see where this matters. For buying this game he could even sleep in it - full usage of the Nero Outpost-Bedrooms:

I rather prefer those guys who really appreciate a game and don't see it as a speedrunning contest. Achievement-Hunting is the same issue. If every game does this then I prefer those games who break with this logic.
The only game where trophies mattered to me was Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals (aka just Lufia in Europe). Since then all the other games just slaughtered the idea for me that trophies are a good gaming-concept in general - cause you don't play games for a higher trophy-rank or a higher trophy- or achievment-level. You just want to discover the game depth by yourself. That's normally something you do for you and only yourself. You don't do it for others. And since the PS3 / Xbox or Xbox360 ppl kinda tend to misunderstand the meaning of this completely.
Either you like to discover everything - cause you're looking for a deeper meaning in things or cause you like the characters and the dialogs of a game or you just like to discover the open world of a game to its full degree, But that's how you should feel about gaming. Doing this just for a trophy-rank is just kinda sad. That's kinda like collecting highscores in a puzzle- / skill- or plattformer game and trying to best you each time over and over again. Sure... you can do that, but... would people really define this as fun?
In Lufia 2 trophy-hunting wasn't forced. Most people didn't even know that there existed trophies. There existed 10 in total - the Iris-trophies. Lufia 2 has a dungeon-generator implemented, so that a certain dungeon - called the Ancient Cave doesn't permanently have the same layout. This dungeon has extra-rules (like your characters always start at lvl 1, when entering this dungeon, you can't take items and equipment into the dungeon except some very rare equipment from blue chests you find in the Ancient Cave and you've to find magic via chests each time again, too, cause you can't take magic with you, either. It's not even guaranteed that you find healing-magic or MP-Drain on some tries).
Funnily at that time something like "roguelike" didn't even exist, cause nobody cared. All that about the "roguelike"- and "roguelight"-genre is made-up the last 5-10 years or so. So, people are taking this way too serious. If people really enjoy this, then it's good - why not? But people shouldn't think this is the "Status Quo", either - cause that would be a pretty unhealthy Status Quo.
