DG does not start

Good evening everyone
when I try to start the game from Steam it initially appears "starting", then "running", but the game does not start.
If I launch it from the desktop it performs a "fake" load.

I state that I have already played this morning, so it's not a problem of requirements.
Can someone help me?

Do you see any of the splash screens at all?
I have a similar issue where I've played it for several hours and now it just loads the first splash screen and drops back to desktop.

These are the solutions I've tried, maybe some will work for you.
- Verified Integrity of game files
- Reinstalled game
- Updated Videocard drivers
- Disabled Steam overlay
- Deleted all the game config files
- Renamed movie files folder (Apparently this works for some people)
- Closed every other program possible when trying to run the game
- Unplugged unnecessary peripherals (Tablet, joystick etc)"
- Ran game as Administrator.

The only other thing I can think of is that the save game might be corrupt, Which steam is reloading via steam cloud. And perhaps when the game tries to load up that bike in the menu screen is when it breaks.

Nothing has worked for me though, 16 hours of playtime and it's just... died.

Go to your Games Library.
Find the game and right-click it, then select Properties.
Under the General Tab, click Set Launch Options and a dialog box will appear.
Type in the dialox box at the end of the target string -windowed -noborder and click OK.
Close the Properties window.

Same problem here, it won't launch anymore.

Steam shop says, Japanese only for customers in Japan. I have Japanese language as 3rd language on my PC, does this exclude me?!

You have to run a VPN for a Japanese IP if you are elsewhere in the world

Same issue on my new PC, still running fine on old PC. It is releasing RAM like it wants to start however do not even get to a splash screen. I get same as op but mine will say "running" for a few second prior to "play". Have tried all of @Krodge with no success.
No PC spec issues as new PC is ridiculously over spec'd.

I was able to solve crashing on start by making it run in compatibility mode, I however now have no sound after the PS Studios clip

In compatibility mode Windows 8 I can run it but there isn´t audio

maybe try to update, like i say before my problem was with fullscreen when i change to window mode game working then i chande to fullscreen in game
