Game doesn't have an ending with closure, it was planned to have a sequel so it ends in a cliffhanger. Very little is explained in the game about the story other than the obvious, I think the idea was to set the premise, introduce the lore and characters to develop the plot further in the following games (that, in theory, will never come).
Whether it's worth it or not... This game has very strong defenders and detractors.
In my opinion the two biggest things to consider are:
One thing that is for certain is that the game can give you dozens of hours of gameplay as the story is very long and after that you can do the challenges to squeeze more hours.
Big area too to ride around and explore.
It drags on early, but it eventually picks up and doesn't stop once it does.
I keep hearing this, and I hope it does! I like the game but it feels a bit grindy right now.
The plot is what you expect from a Zombie game.
Pretty generic and no surprises in terms of that.
If you're expecting some innovation. you won't find it in the game.
Everything in the game has already been seen somewhere else, and if Far Cry would play in a zombie-setting, its name would probably be "Days gone".
Nevertheless graphics are good, fighting hordes can be quite intense, and Level design is great.
Both actors and story telling are very authentic and the game offers also an immersive atmosphere in general.
So if you like popcorn movies, you're going to enjoy this game as well.
