Worth it?
The game looks cool, but the plot is good?

Have a proper ending or the game ending is abrupt and unfinished the plot?

The plot is a generic virus apocalypse but with bikers.
Game doesn't have an ending with closure, it was planned to have a sequel so it ends in a cliffhanger. Very little is explained in the game about the story other than the obvious, I think the idea was to set the premise, introduce the lore and characters to develop the plot further in the following games (that, in theory, will never come).

Whether it's worth it or not... This game has very strong defenders and detractors.
In my opinion the two biggest things to consider are:
 Liking open world survival games.
 Not minding too much being kidnapped by the game to walk holding hands with NPCs so they can talk about "personal" stuff that has little to do with the game (usually).

One thing that is for certain is that the game can give you dozens of hours of gameplay as the story is very long and after that you can do the challenges to squeeze more hours.

I passed on this game a while ago and got state of decay instead. Picked this up on sale and I wish I had just gotten it instead of state of decay. Pretty fun, a bit repetitive, but all in all quite enjoyable and I am only half way through.

Big area too to ride around and explore.

I was on the fence, but I do agree that this is a very slept on game. If you like open world survivals, this is a top tier one for sure.

It drags on early, but it eventually picks up and doesn't stop once it does.

The journey is fun, the ending is weak. As others have mentioned, it seems like they were setting up a 2nd game. The enjoyable parts of the story deal with the individual characters and their relationships. The zombie plotline is lacking, Overall, though, I enjoyed it.

I've only played about 12 hours, but I'm liking it so far. Not sure how far I'm into the story because I keep wandering off and getting sidetracked by the large map lol. Feels a bit repetitive but I hear things get better as you go and unlock more things.

I keep hearing this, and I hope it does! I like the game but it feels a bit grindy right now.

The plot is what you expect from a Zombie game.
Pretty generic and no surprises in terms of that.
If you're expecting some innovation. you won't find it in the game.

Everything in the game has already been seen somewhere else, and if Far Cry would play in a zombie-setting, its name would probably be "Days gone".

Nevertheless graphics are good, fighting hordes can be quite intense, and Level design is great.
Both actors and story telling are very authentic and the game offers also an immersive atmosphere in general.

So if you like popcorn movies, you're going to enjoy this game as well.
