Had the same problem, the only way I fixed it was to go ahead and fall throw the floor once. After that the game will respawn you right were you fell. I was then able to do a manual save. Quit the game, relaunch the game and continue. The Ark cave loaded for me. Hope this help you.

this didnt work for me, after restarting it still doesnt work. This buggy triple A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unacceptable.

I managed to fix it. I'm not sure exactly what worked but I changed a few things this time. First thing, I changed from full screen to windowed borderless. I set all settings to low (not just preset low settings). I quit the mission entirely and started it over from the camp. Everything worked this time during "you can't do this alone" but when I got to the second mission where you actually enter the ark the glitch showed up again. Reloading/restarting didn't help. I had to quit the game and restart the mission but I finally did it. I beat the game!

What fixed it for me was a combination of skipping problematic cut scenes and verifying the integrity of the game files. Not sure what did it but the fix was easy either way.

if anyone still needs help with this then i found a thing... if u go to the ledge just before u drop down into the abyss. you can save and then quit and then restart the game entirely. after press continue NOT load. it will take u back to the cutscene where boozer is talking about the wires. after that it should work. it did for me
