Binding melee weapons
I am just a couple of hours in the game and constantly trying to fine-tune it to my liking.
Am I missing on something or is it impossible to bind the melee weapons to any numbers like the other weapons? It is so annoying to use that wheel every time.
Does anybody have a workaround?

The only workaround I have found is to simply "attack" without aiming.

Ergo...You use the weapon in your hand, by default being the baseball bat or the like. It's simply always there. in fact, if you are in combat shooting, & you stop the right click aim? your next "attack" will be melee.

The only time this is a concern is when you were just engaged in opening a trunk or the like with your boot knife. At which point your boot knife is apparently still considered to be in your hand.

I hope developers will add this simple thing. Very strange that we can't equip melee weapon quick like other stuff.
what are you talking about, default is just attack with no aim, doesn't matter what's equipped, LMB= melee atack

In no point in the tutorial was I told how to initiate melee lmfao, thank you. That's so simple but like I never thought to just not aim and try clicking, I figured it'd hip fire.
