Days Gone. Final Mission Bug

C'mon guys, I just cannot complete the game cause of this problem. Check out screenshot

I have played the game through 3 different times. Each time I get this bug. Each time I log out and back in to my last save (just before going up the hill to the ark) and get to the same spot where you have a choice of two paths just above the second to last bomb. I climb down and disarm it and then back up to continue down the pathway and it all works perfectly.

On my latest playthrough I will shoot a video and point out the exact location.

This issue is not fixed yet. I cannot finish the game in 2023 because of this

For anyone having trouble you can only skip the skizzo final fight detonation barrels using cheat engine. Basically you need to teleport to skizzo himself.

Here are the coordinates. This leads him directly to Skizzo. Skipping the explosive barrel bug

Still not fixed don’t think it ever will be only solution is probably restarting the entire game lol. This game isn’t good enough to warrant that

It's a computer thing. Some do this, most don't.
You need to fix it, on your computer. No need to restart the entire game at all.
Probably switch the game off completely, then switch it back on again. And restart that mission from a slightly earlier save. If there's a cut scene, watch the cut scene all the way through, don't skip it. This game loads the next mission during the preceding cut scene, if you skip it, the mission sometimes doesn't load correctly. This mission is apparently one of the susceptible missions to that bug.

Skipping the explosive barrel bug.

It isn't a bug, it's a trap set by Skizzo. You are supposed to finally get to him barely alive, he'd probably prefer for the barrel explosion to kill you, but it doesn't. You have to find a way to get to him. Rolling from cover to cover gets you close, then rush him and be ready for the prompt to tell you what key/button to press repeatedly and fast.
It is essentially the final Boss fight, always the toughest fight in any game. In this case it isn't the boss who is particularly hard to kill, it's your weakness due to the injuries sustained from the detonated barrel making you much less capable.

^^this, and you should lower all graphics settings to minimum, to ease the game engine loading of the game, it is not ideal, but it works.

Which bug?
There's the not a bug, where you get injured by the exploding barrels making you very weak and easily killed.

There's an actual bug, where the ground doesn't get filled in, so you fall through and die.

I just encountered this glitch today, almost 3 years after the start of this discussion. It is frustrating. I have completed the game on PS5. I know what is supposed to happen. the environment did not load. I am going to try redoing the sawmill hoard and restarting the ability to do this mission. If that doesn't work I am screwed.

There shouldn't be any need to go back that far, unless you want to take out the Sawmill Horde again.

Switch the game off all together, verify game files in Steam, restart it. Any save you have that's before the part to actually get into the Ark will be good. If the only one you have is before the Sawmill Horde, fair enough, that'll have to do.

I turned the graphics options down to 'Low', exit to desktop, restarted the game and it worked fine, I was able to get through that area and defeat Skizzo.
