Out of video memory with RTX 2070 Super only high medium settings?
Got just past 2 hours in after testing. Now I can't even help fix my buddies arm up as i get Crash Error box says. " Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/ or closing other applications that are running. Exiting..."

Really annoyed that this issue only happened the day after i played it with no issues at all? 2.1 hours on steam and boom this starts nothing new installed nothing else running in background tried lots of fixes that work with other games no problem. Search the list but seems like not many have this issue or are not bothering reporting it. My faith in supporting full priced games are going back to nil pretty quick.

Anyone else having this problem or even better have fixed this so i can carry on playing this game? So far waste of money for me and will be changing review to negative soon if no joy.

have you updated your gpu drivers? if so roll back to the older drivers if not try updating.

when this first happened the first choice I made was to check for new drivers as i was running a couple drivers updates before the latest. In hope that it would sort the problem out but seems like the latest ones are even worse than the old ones for me. After still trying other failed fixes so far the only thing I have noticed is in task manager my Desktop Window manager was at 20 to 30% Usage on my GPU so i ended it just to see what happened then Client Server Runtime Process started rising to the same on the GPU? This is new to me and hope its another windows update problem and not anything else.

I have the same card, latest drivers and everything on Ultra, not a single crash in 20+ hours of play.
It isnt your card or drivers, it must be something else to troubleshoot on your system.

thanks for the confirmation on that. I did find it funny how i tested the first night then got too tired so thought yes something to enjoy tomorrow then this started typical as always. But that makes me want to reinstall windows and try fresh clean install the only thing i have not tried yet. So see you in a few days once i do that and change and make windows more secure JK thanks again:cryptothink:

Fresh Windows installs are rarely needed. I had an issue with a game which was crashing all of the time, tried an obscure forum suggestion of disabling scaling in display properties, never crashed again.. another time I had a game which ran at 6 fps until I switched off HDR, then it locked at 144.. Might just be some uncommon setting or service on your setup messing with the game. Installing windows is very time consuming after all !

At risk of being one of those guys who chimes in to say 'It works for ME.."

I only wanted to say, your machine outdoes my rig it seems. (I run a 980TI) & I have all the settings cranked (but I play on a paltry 1920x1080)

& it's glass smooth... Wouldn't be the first time my gaming build seemed to occupy a sweet spot. But simply based on this, I'd say it is not your video card.

4k with 120% resolution scale and im only seeing 7gig vga ram usage. Something is clearly wrong here

Well better late than never. I finally found a way to play without the constant crashing. Windowed borderless. Fullscreen mode I get Out of Video memory error even on high at 1080p 100 Scaling. But I have now played at least 5 times without any problems other than the odd screen flicker here and there. Its not a fix but at least its playable finally. Last updated the game last July. Bit sloppy on that. Fingers crossed for a fix. :cryptothink:

OP, wipe your driver installation with a good cleaner app and reinstall the latest, or better yet install the last driver version that worked. If I were to guess, its your driver glitching out by not allocating vram correctly. My 6gb 2060 was honestly overkill for this game, you should be seeing at least 100fps at 1080p as my OC 2060 was delivering that. It could also be a memory leak. Try reinstalling the game but on a different drive if you have one.

not had the issue for a while now thanks anyway :cryptolove::steamhappy:
