Days Gone vs Uncharted 4

Gotta say really enjoying the overall gameplay graphics and story of Days Gone. I noticed it got only a 6.5 rating on IGN, while Uncharted 4 got a 9. If I’m enjoying Days Gone this much can’t imagine how good Uncharted 4 will be on the pc. Is Uncharted 4 really that much better than Days Gone? If so then it will be fantastic on PC.

Bend Studio doesn't deserve Sony or its fans.

They should make PC games. Their work would be more appreciated.

I just got done playing this 60 hour gem and i'm about to dive back in for round 2. The last time I did that with a game was with Ocarina of Time... back in the 90s.

Console gamers' expectations and quality standards are unrealistic and it is damaging the hobby. Just look at Cyberpunk.

Uncharted 4 is just another entry in an established franchise with a giant fan base, since the game was overall just more of the same, but prettier, it was to be expected it would get a decent score and high sales. Especially since it was the sole main entry for the franchise in a new console generation. Days Gone was a new IP, and less money went into advertising. It still sold respectably considering, and I'm certain Sony knew they didn't have another The Last of Us on their hands before the games release.

Days Gone seems gets a lot of flack, but based on Steam reviews people here seem to enjoy it, which makes sense, it's a great game, and it shines on PC with the performance increase. When it could barely run at a stable 30 fps on a base PS4 model, I know I'd have a hard time enjoying it too, it even dips into the low 20's when any sort of heavy action is going on.

Since its release here on Steam I'm already nearing 90 hours played and it's quickly entering my top 5 most played games based on hours, and I'm greatly looking forward to Sony's continued venture into the PC market, they're holding back some heavy hitters and they are going to be absolute goldmines.

Different games, different focuses. Not really comparable.

Days Gone delivers a better open world experience by virtue of being the only open world game of the two, and Uncharted delivers a better linear experience by virtue of being the only linear game of the two. Both are fantastic games, but for different reasons.

ha, true. I've seen tread saying bring last of us 1 and 2 to pc. No thank you. 2 may had improved stuff after 1 but the story was so bad.

I've played both now. Uncharted 4 when it first came out and now Days Gone on PC. As good as U4 was I think I enjoyed Days Gone more because it was more open and I could explore where as U4 was a Linear Story Experience. Nothing wrong with it I like that, but I loved the way Days Gone handled the story and freedom of exploration more.

That being said. Once Uncharted comes to PC I'm going to be a Day One buyer.

Meh imo it was fine. Alot of people exaggerated things. I have never seen so many dudes with a hard on for Joel. I guess watching their crush die so horribly on screen was traumatizing.

All in all it was an ok game in my book.

I feel like I'm the odd one here where I did not enjoy Uncharted very much. When your favorite aspect of a game is how short it is, something is up. I did enjoy Days Gone but felt that was one of the weaker exclusives as well. I praise the ground Naughty Dog steps on but I disliked Uncharted. Everything else they did was perfection though. Days Gone was a solid 7/10 or 8/10 for me. Uncharted is like a 5/10 or 6/10. TLoU trumps it across the board.

I played Uncharted 4 on my PS4 and gameplay-wise it doesn't stack up to Days Gone. It's like Tomb Raider if you stripped out all the character progression.

I see it as like a mix between tomb raider and Max Payne. I dont recall any character progression in Tomb Raider though.

In my opinion it's a solid game and excellently ported to PC. I got excited after meeting O'brian at the very end and it's sad we're not gonna see it because console players didn't appreciate this game enough.
