Why do i have the Drifter-Crossbow right from the start?
Are there some special bonuses in the PC version or something? And if so can i deactivate them?

It was a pre-order bonus on PS4. The devs included all DLC for the PC release. I don't think there's a way to disable it

that not really much better then the normal one this is not game breaking at the start.

I found this odd too, it's still listed as an unlock for "Gear up for the ride" 100% and I have no idea how to get bolts at the start. it only came with 3 or 4

Design and balance the unlocks for your game and then break it all by handing them out right at the beginning because of some pre-order bonus or dlc or whatever. I've seen this in multiple games and it's just so damn stupid...

I liked having the crossbow from the start. It kills humans with one shot to the head. Unlike the guns.

Crossbow with Incendiary bolts is MUCH better than tossing molotov cocktails at a nest. You can make 3 incendiary bolts for fewer materials than a single molotov.

Not only that. To molotov the cryer nests, you have to get up close. The cryers will mob you and can kill you with not that many hits. With the crossbow, you don't have to get that close and can shoot from cover. A shot gun is useful for taking out cryers too, once you get to that level :steamhappy:
