Days Gone keeps crashing [solved]

Since i started the game i get constantly crashes. It always happens like 5-20min after starting the game. It just closes and i get to see the screen where you can report a problem. Tried disabling my steam overlay, updating drivers, playing the game in windowed mode, nothing helped. Would appreciate any help.

Mine crashes too sometimes, but Not instantly. ussually only after 3 or 4 hours of playing

okay, thank you ill give it a try. For all who share the same problem, try to run the debug mode on nvidia control panel. Helped quite a bit, now its only crashing every hour :D

If debug mode is helping you might wanna verify GPU temps are getting to high or PSU getting weak etc.

All debug mode does is lower GPU clock speeds to Nvidia's reference spec for that model so if its crashing less it needs troubleshooting, depending how old the card is might need to remove fan shroud & clean it out and if its really old repasting GPU helps as well.

I have over 85 hrs in the game and not a single crash on a factory overclocked EVGA RTX 2070.

@shapeshifter Ran it as admin and works perfect, thank you. Can't relate what exactly the problem was, Other than that cleaning my GPU would be not bad at all :'D

Right click Days gone in your library then select Properties / Browse and find DaysGone.exe and right click it / choose Properties / Compatibility tab then checkmark Run this program as admin / click Ok.

Then whenever you launch game normally it should show the admin confirmation dialog.

I'm so curious why running game as administrator has anything to do with game crashing.
