DLSS
Devs please add DLSS to this game now there is an UE4 native plugin. The TAA implementation it has now is not great (shimmering and ghosting) and it would give the game far better image quality and performance.

turn off motion blur and then go into Nvidia control panel and set image sharpening to 1.00 its what I did and it looks fine to me

DLSS would be good. But I'd personally rather have the ability to disable TAA with out breaking the hud and map.

yes please! Add DLSS, afaik this game is not sponsored by AMD right?

Ya It's pretty insane what DLSS does for Death Stranding's visual quality. Would be nice to see it supported in Days Gone.

Shouldn't be a problem since dlss is natively supported by the Unreal Engine.

Highly unlikely DLSS will be add to this old DX11 game, This ported Sony game has been developed with a PS 4 AMD gpu in mind.
If there was a upgrade, Vulcan and Amd's FSR would be more likely.
Very workable on Nvidia gpu's.

You don't need dx12 nor Vulkan to implement dlss through UE4. It's a plugin trough the engine itself.

Your twisting my words, I never said you needed Vulkan.
It's a nice too have.
Similarly getting DLSS or even FSR is more highly unlikely. It seems Bend studio are done with the game, except for bug fixes.
I'm sure you if you have few million to throw at them you could that could get them listening to an DLSS implementation.

Can we expect this now after the Horizon update?

No. Game is finished. There will be no further updates (besides bugfixes).

There is still hope as Horizon Zero Dawn just received AMD FSR and nVidia DLSS support,. It is a AMD sponsered game even. Upcoming GOW PC port also confirmed with DLSS support.

That's not a given, Sony bought Nixxes and Nixxes just released a big patch for HZD that added DLSS. HZD came out before DG, so it's entirely possible they'll roll in support at some point. PC game ports are still a fairly new thing for Sony/PS, so while it may not happen, it's not a foregone conclusion that it won't happen.

Days Gone for Sony, was also a disappointment, so much so that, there are no plans for Days Gone 2, or the devs ware told no by Sony, I can't recall right now. Where, HZD is getting a part 2, what better way of supporting something that will be getting a sequel then to continue to update the prequel. I would love for Days Gone to get DLSS, but it is what it is.
