About the horde spawning location

So erm about the crater lake and the highway 97 horde spawning location, I know some horde will be spawning after we done the story but some still spawn before the story finish so those who finished the horde killing story any idea which hordes will spawn before and after the story? At least I no need to keep searching for those hordes and keep restart the load again and again

only those who are scripted to the story that only spawned after you finish the mission/story

1. the cave near Lost Lake camp
2. The sawmill in Lost Lake region
3. Nero burial site in crater lake region

Yeah I know the one that tied with the story won’t appear in the map completion list, im asking for the completion list now, example there’s 13 horde location in highway 97 and I managed to complete 3 of them but the rest of them no matter I go day time or night time I can’t find them no matter the cave the lake ang their possible spawning location, sleep,reset tried everything no luck

For me, All hordes spawned in all areas before story completion except for Highway 97. Highway 97, I went 4/13 before I completed the story. You'll run into the 4th one during a mission. I went 2/3 in crater lake for a while, but eventually it spawned as I progressed through missions.

Yep I agree with this but I'll add that the order in which the they appear (not highway 97) seems different on each playthrough. For instance, in the Cascade Mts zone, the horde located in Grotto Caves wouldn't spawn in my first playthrough (normal difficulty) until very last in the zone. On my second playthrough (survival II non NG+) The horde was in the cave and I couldn't get to the nero beacon for a while, since it was right after the 1st nero chopper and i had squat to fight with.

Yes the north side Copeland,tucker and iron mike area Ive already completed all the horde location only left the one was crater lake MCLedo ridge. Highway 97 already clear Lobert draw ridge, chemult station and groose garden. The rest just won’t spawn no matter what day I go to the desired location

About the 4th one any idea what mission was that? Was it the one that we get to test the napalm molotov?

The hordes in the northern part of Highway 97 all have 3 locations that they travel to and from. There doesn't appear to be a pattern and they go to whatever one randomly.

There are 3 locations per horde so 12 locations total in that northern part of the zone.
