Took his helmet off? I didn't see that. I have no outstanding missions. Did I miss something?
As far as Sarah, sure she failed but Decon said they were going to link with Nero and etc where she would have better equipment and they will never give up, etc etc. Which went no where.
No, this isn't like a Last Of US situation where it's intentionally leaving things unresolved as to leave us with the weight of Joel's decision. That was BRILLIANT. Definitively the best story in a video game ever. So it's not like I am looking for things to be wrapped up neatly and with a happy ending. It's the cheapness of how they wrapped things up which is the issue. They just threw on a hammy ending ignored all of the bigger ideas they seemed to be working towards.
Yep, when you 'finish' the game you can still go around and clear out hordes and bandit camps. After not too long O'Brien will radio you and ask you to meet and you get a little cut-scene. I hope this gives you some closure!
lol. Maybe I am not explaining myself well but it's not closure I wanted, but some sort of pay off to what they were building up to. Like how I used TLOU as an example of a story that didn't have any kind of "closure" but had a great pay off that made sense with where the story was going. It also thematically worked because they show us why this is "THE LAST OF US".
I am not putting more time into it. Hopefully I can find that on you tube.
EDIT: Okay I just watched it, and that just made what I was talking about worse. It's just a cheap WTF moment to tease a potential sequel that I don't think is happening. It feels very JJ Abrams like this whole game. Introduce a lot of mysteries and just keep postponing the answers because we have no idea where we are going with this.
Up north the story felt tight and gripping but cloverdale was weird beyond all suspension of disbelief. How did the poor militia morons survive anyway? They hail Deekenator as a zombie-sage when he says weather affects the freaks - meaning they haven't notice it in 2 years. Cure the virus? Look sweetheart, hate to break it to you but those folks were mutated into sponge-brains, only mg-55 is going to cure that. It felt like a cheap way to give Sarah those oh-so-precious Good Person creds.
Could go on but in short, I felt as if Lost Lake was the real heart and soul of the game and then gas ran out. Nice game, just little too much soap.
Oh, one more thing. The original breakout occurred in an international conference - but it takes body fluid contact to spread...
I thought colonel was quite believable. There are some moments you can see the man he was before. Who knows what he lost. He was already crazy when you meet him and then he went ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy. If you listen to his daily sermons, he was getting worse everyday.
Game pretty much is about people subconsciously knowing the futility of it all, how pointless every day is, but still struggling to survive. There is a dialog that just in California alone there is 25M freaks, they are mutating rapidly and they are not going anywhere as they are omnivores. Cure is not happening either.
May be humanity will last for 10-20 years more, but eventually it will be over.
Boozer should be back at the farm putting in work instead of moving in on my woman. And she should be cleaning that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a shack. Look at it. There's bottles everywhere. Pick something up already. Jesus.
No melee wounds, no gunshot wounds, no blood or fake blood .. sometimes there is, most of the time, there isnt.
Fake blood is when you shoot or hit someone, there is splash of blood, but before it drops to the ground, its vaporized, like steam ..
I just bought the game, some visual effects are stunning, but this .. fighting an enemy, cutting his throat, shooting him in the head with shotgun .. and nothing ..
That goes for all gaming .. assassins creed .. you just stab and stab and .. nothing .. its even that bad, that the corpses have open eyes and are still following you ..
I love honesty, reality .. the joy for me is in the details .. if its lacks them, its trash for me and hard to play it.
or is it just my sick imagination / bad motivation of the antagonist
The only two things you specifically refer to, Sarah and NERO, do get resolved in the game.
