Anyone found a way to farm gems quickly for this game?
In Ryza 1 there was a tree that dropped something like 150-200 blocks of wood everytime you chopped it down.

Using that tree in conjunction with gem reduction allowed near infinite gems for rebuild/duplication.

Anyone find a method to farm gems easily in Ryza 2 yet?

Best way I know of so far (I'm fairly early) is warping to the first area of the underwater ruins. Off to the right is a bunch of trees (18 items per charged swing) and a bunch of other stuff you can grab quickly. I usually fill up on that first screen in just a few minutes, TP back and it's around 20-30k gems.

This is the winner, but instead of the axe use Scythe, the bark converts to gems much better in roughly same quantities.

This is the best early game method I have found so far, but use Scythe not axe

I've started using the upper level room of the underwater ruins instead. With a rank 3 bug net:

Since load times are almost instant on a SSD, it takes about 3 minutes to gather a full bag and gem reduce them.

On top of that you can rarely get Rank B butterflies that are very useful for Spirit Bottles.

i just run the last stage of the final dungeon with my mount (with both XL upgrades) and dig up every spot there is. Done in roughly 2 minutes and gives me 100k+ gems

otherwise i personally think, that using the mount to dig up stuff is in generel an awesome way to quickly get items to change them into gems since the mount can dig up a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of items at once

Just found the best way by far:

Poison cube with essence gives quantity+3

So what im currently doing is making Strahl plajig x 25
Costs 1 lightning sand, 1 plajig, 8 poison cubes. The sand is 3k, plajig is 1k poison cubes is 12k, so 16k cost for 75k (50k gain) for every single craft :D

go to meeresbrise highway ( yes the very first area )and use staff to hit the tree at your right and pick the uni, now re teleport to meeresbrise highway and repeat. this will give you 25k to 40k ish gems if you throw nectar fruit

it good when you upgrade all staff skill

Base game doesnt get 100k gems for free. That aside, 100k is burned pretty fast.

Your are the best! This is BY FAR the quickest way to produce gems. and it can be done mid game too.

Also because of the quality I am doing these at and hte fact that they are s rank (600 quality) I get 125,000 per craft. And only need to spend around the 16k you mentioned...

once you are able to make items with the quanitity+ property (i think zettel is the eariest), you can make lots of very gem expensive items while duplicating the quantity+ items.

True end-game is
1 Ether Engine + 1 Philosopher's Stone + 10 Cross Cartridge = 36 Ancient Philosopher's Stones
which sell for 900k gems
Make sure the ingredients are cheap to duplicate. The alchemy level of an item makes a difference. If you start with the base recipe and morph your way up to the final ingredient, the final material will have the alchemy level of the starting recipe.

you could just jump to the sunken area and grab the 2 spots of ancient bolts, ancient sword, broken tools a few times. Those sell for like 300 gems each and you get there pretty fast

Early on, in the Sunken City's final area, the Sky Ship Captain's Cabin, there's 3 Palma trees. Just run in, chop them down with the axe for palma wood and one glowy rock, do it once more and your basket should be about full. This should net you at least 40k gems per run, and it's really fast.

I think this is the best spot I've found up until you unlock Glass Flower Forest, where you run to where the giant pink Puni is and slice the crystal flowers. Fire People's Village also gives a lot of gems, but it's a lot longer to run and overall ends up being slower even though you get more gems per run.

Of course, the single best way is to synth ancient phil stones. And at that point, you effectively have infinite gems and don't need to farm any more.

You can use Zettel synth'd with Quantity up to make Traveler's Water Orbs fairly early. Then Poison Cubes to make Taboo Drops, etc. I'm still somewhere in the 3rd ruin and I can basically make 100k gems per cycle of Posion Cube -> Taboo Drop.

You get access to Ether Cores long before Black Water though.

Speaking of which, how did you get Black Water while still in the third ruin? Is there an earlier source than Glass Flower Forest?
