Anyone found a way to farm gems quickly for this game?
In Ryza 1 there was a tree that dropped something like 150-200 blocks of wood everytime you chopped it down.

Using that tree in conjunction with gem reduction allowed near infinite gems for rebuild/duplication.

Anyone find a method to farm gems easily in Ryza 2 yet?

I used those trees as well. So far im not far enough in to say if there's an amazing method.

What im doing is gathering with the Scyth at Valley of Winds - Schirm Marsh. You can gather the 4 bushes then walk south and back to respawn them. Loading is fairly fast. That can give 10-20k~ gems with a full bag.

Maiden's catacombs, bell ringer's path, the graveyards there has some decent flowers and bugs you can crush up for gems early on, obviously it's not gonna cap your gems any time soon, but for some early game duplication and the like it's a good way to earn gems quickly. Plus teleporting back and forth doesn't take too long as there is one cemetery right below the spot you start in.

Rank 3 gathering provides bugs that are worth around 900 gems per bug, the 2nd rank ones being worth around 300 and lastly the flowers being around 300 as well.

Of the two methods, the 4 bushes seems the fastest right now. You can get a bag full fairly quick.

The graveyards are more valuable (per material), but the trek to actually get there and back while finding all blue plants and ignoring enemies feels like it reduces efficiency enough to make the bush method better...

Haven't tried the bushes, so you may be right, was just something I'd contribute since I farmed a lot of those plants while doing the ruin only to discover the value of the bugs especially when I was emptying out my trash items for space.

If anything it's something to look out for when doing the ruin itself, but if you are already past that and only looking for gems then it might be less efficient per second spent.

I appreciate the input regardless, and hope others give their advice in this topic as well. As it stands, I feel the bush method Tiasmoon posted is currently the best option.

If I find a better one I will definitely let everyone reading this topic know...

There are other methods I've seen online for end game, but I figured most people asking for gems want early game farming places rather than that.

Its just something I randomly tried and found, so im sure there's better options around.
Didnt think I'd need to gem farm this early in the game, ahaha. :ys_dana:

For post game, you use Philosopher stones to make Ancient Philosophers Stones. PS's in this game function the same as the Red Stone from Ryza 1. You use them to make a ton of APS's and pawn them off for extremely easy infinite gems

The 2 threes in the last of the sunken temple areas, takes 3 teleports for a full inventory on a L axe :D (Need to up it to xl already)

Someone on the gfaqs forum mentioned this:

Best way I know of so far (I'm fairly early) is warping to the first area of the underwater ruins. Off to the right is a bunch of trees (18 items per charged swing) and a bunch of other stuff you can grab quickly. I usually fill up on that first screen in just a few minutes, TP back and it's around 20-30k gems.

This is the winner, but instead of the axe use Scythe, the bark converts to gems much better in roughly same quantities.

This is the best early game method I have found so far, but use Scythe not axe

doesn't even need underwater ruins, just go to the schirm marsh there's more than 4 trees there and they are close to each other, i got 25-30 wooden per tree.

i tried his early game gem farming with the ancient bugs. should take 10-15 mins to get your bag full and get 70-80k gems

If you have gained access to Water Spirit's Sanctuary @ Northern Lands (I think around mid-game?), you can probably get 500k~ gems in 10mins of work. Select the location from maps, immediately turn right. There are 4 barrels that gives you Divine Liquid/Yugdore Water/Foamy Water). Foamy Water is the trash one but the other 2 gives between 800-1300 gems per item (I have gathering quality upgraded). After you break these 4 barrels, reselect the same location from map again and repeat. You can repeat this "cycle" very fast, like once every 5-7 seconds. You get about 6-7 items per barrel and you can fill your bag under 5 mins.
