I think you missed the point. I said it was a sub par understanding of the series, because there is far more about the series than just harem. Additionally, they said "trash harem" series... which is ludicrous.

there's only Japanese language on ciel, the port run at 30fps and animation is really janky and there's a lot of aliasing on 3D models
1 hour in the game and i have no idea wtf i am doing, i can't read Japanese, there are a ton craps of menus.. it's like those virtual pet game box but this time the girl is the pet
there's a high chance for Ar DX got English because they can slap the English translation from the Ps3 version in.
There's likely less chance for ciel being translated BUT the theme song lyrics in the gallery was translated into alphabet letters for some reason, didn't play the vita version so idk if it was translated in the vita ve or not but if theme song lyrics wasn't translated on vita this could be a good sign for English version.
game is the port of ciel offline version so you don't have to deal with online craps and can skip time by spending hymp point.
that's what i got for the past 1 hour, game is complicated and got tons of dialogue and choices which i have no idea wtf those are about, can't even get the girl change her costume, gave her the once piece dress, she changed into it then tell me something then changed back to her pijamas ???
The devs cite Steam demanding the game to be censored so it can be sold here.

it's region locked to Japan because it's a Japanese release, there is only Japanese in the game. i couldn't get the steam version either, i tried vpn but store page still say it's "not available in your country" so idk how to buy it. Went and get the switch version instead.
its basically a tamagochi game about your Waifu from this world isekaied into the Ar Tonelico Verse AKA EXA_PICO, where you will help her get out of her funk AKA pseudo Cosmosphere by digging into her memories as Ion, using a console was that case for Vita and PC for this case, you will realize that because of the shenanigans that was pulled of in Ciel NoSurge the world they once resided in was engulfed by the Sun because guess what they shouldnt have isekai-ed someone from anywhere, so they made a colony ship to transport all the people from Ra Ciela in hopes to find another suitable planet to colonize, kick starting the plot of Ar noSurge where 10 years has passed since, Cryosleep helps where we as the players interface once again into the EXA_PICO verse to finally kick out Ion from the EXA_PICO verse and actually stabilizing the universe but because we have "illegally" modded our console to interface into EXA_PICO shenanigans happen just like an what happened to Ra Ciela so in the 100 years (I forgot I think it was 1000 years?) people wisened up and has anti-viruses scan the interface to prevent that incident, resulting in Ta-bou/Delta in Ar noSurge losing his memories because we essentially turned him into a puppet to find Ion's capsule and directly interface to EARTHES
because everything takes place as a prequel to Ar Tonelico 1 we meet a pre-admin loli Eoria/Shurelia because guess what the Second Garthnode incident has yet to happen but the Sea of Death is starting to encroach the planet of Ar Ciel and the tower of Ar Tonelico isnt completed yet.
everything I'm saying won't make ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense unless someone has at least have a grasp of the terms used in Ar Tonelico 1 or any of the 3 EXA_PICO games. this is after all a universe where emotions and feelings can be be cast into songs and make a direct impact to the world like magic... exactly SONG MAGIC.
also the Ciel and Ar noSurge titles are not a harem genre thats ideally pushing the entire story of the game where the very concept of a 4th wall is absent. also a lot of context in Ar noSurge is missing if you havent played Ciel noSurge like A LOT.
now you understand the gist but how does Ciel noSurge as a Tamagochi play like, you basically have to make Ion gather stuff thats relegated by RNG to craft it so you can put it into a "cybercache" to link it to Ar noSurge as accessories, also to delve deeper into her memories you need to gather Dive Point by how? appeasing the Sharls or "faeries" in this case by making Ion do things or even poking her in certain places or while doing certain tasks or giving her headpats, even though we are not physically present because this world runs on emotions and feelings she can "feel" it, and each tasks take real time which is mitigated by the offline mode where you can just dump dive points to make time jumps, as you progress through the plot you also unlock costumes used in those chapter but you need to craft it first which again takes time to dress her up from time to time if you so wish but sometimes her AI will just decide what she wants and the hairdo she likes
