Especially since I don't understand the anger over the lack of Keter realization. The final fight against Roland was it, and it was a very good way to do it. My issue was with the lack of answers and many Chekov's guns that never fired, but Keter realization was fine.
I think me and many others would be fine with it if PM just gave us a completed Kether for doing that fight. We don't need an Realization, just a complete Floor of General Works.
But if PM does want to go the extra mile, i won't say no. They surely can make something great out of it. Though i don't see how this would progress Angela or Roland's character arcs as floors 1-9 and the Black Silence reception already helped them come to terms with their emotions. If this would even include any story at all to begin with, that is (there are two empty spots on Kether in the Credenza, so who knows).
From the perspective of story, it's kind of weird to raise new abonormality and EGO when you can finally seize the light/ want to give the light back to the gusets. However, I can't reject new toys even if I already beat the final bosses. I'm neutral to the topic of completing Keter with EGOs. I just don't hope that PM feel pressured by vituperation and squeeze something to cater for those antis. I'm fine if they just implemnt EGOs for Keter directly.
I hope they don't change anything when it comes to the story, even if it's just my selfish opinion, because I actually liked the ending and don't want it changed anymore than what they already have done. I think that if they do actually add a new Realization, it will impact the ending of the game.
Like for example on the second part of the Gone Angels stage, make the shades wear the abnos EGO.
What I wanted from before was the final abno and the EGO of kether. To make the floor more viable for mod content in the future. Even if you can't use them on story content after you get them.
I guess I'll just wait to the 30 to see what happens. I just hope people are a bit more understanding of this than of the ending (which I liked before, theme02 and the cg need to be back in some form)
This kind of thing is what I was afraid was going to happen after the 9/11 update. I knew the aftermath of that update would set a bad precedent for some update(s) that would happen after. It sucks that even though it is their game, they can't do what they want with it because there are people that will overreact terribly to their original vision that they had for the game.
Allow me to put it this way, say a movie producer got a smashing success on the first movie and now begins preparing the sequel. Then during interviews the producer state in multiple ways that fans can look forward to have their questions answered in the upcoming release. Now imagine what will happen when the released sequel contains few follow up to the first movie. I think it shouldn't come as a surprise when someone made promises they forgot to annul before those promises led to other people handing over their money. It should be noted that while certain criticizers are too passionate and too vengeful, there are also those who made genuine legitimate criticism to plot incoherence as well as gameplay. So really it boils down to through what manners can paying customers made their criticisms known to the developer and how much effort the developer is willing to commit to improve consumer experience.
