This is obviously the simplest way of handling it if they wanted to keep it random (well its tied to the overall emotion coin and decides what to put depending on if its negative or positive, but it is still pretty random)
That being said, I agree that the increased number of abno pages makes it more difficult to take an abno-based approach to deck building since the individual chances of each page are diluted. What I'd do is increase the number of cards you are offered from 3 to 4, or offer the player the ability to "reroll" the abno pages.
I like grim Grim Xzag but I would at further to have some of the Abnormality pages with affect that affect the synergy think take hod floor for example, only sanguine desire affect bleed in anyway, I would not mind if the moved changes ability so most of the red shoes would synergy in some way with bleed, like one is sanguine desire another is axe and that would give 1 charter health for each bleed stack enemies has on it glitter might make it so that enemies with bleed will tarcked that one librarian. This are just examples, just so the have something to do with bleed. Same with forsaken murder and blunt damages and singing machine and stagger
The don’t all need be so specific like Pinhco can be generic Abnolty pages that are just good on their own, but it does make so if you whiff your Abnormality pages withe heavy special deck like bleed deck, it no a complete loss
