New to game, please help
I don't normally play deckbuilders / card games or whatever genre this is, but the game looked interesting.

The in-game explanations are super wordy and confusing, and the game throws a billion rules at you at once (and a lot of it is worded really strangely)

I won against some "Rats" or whatever, but I'm not really sure what I was doing. Everything just seems overly obscure.

Is there a manual or guide, or someone who can actually explain how to play this game, and what all the different menus and submenus mean? Appreciate it.

at any point you can press escape, and there is a button called "manual" should have everything you are looking for

Library of Ruina is as much a puzzle game as it is a deckbuilder. Each fight, especially later fights, require you to build decks and passive abilities that will counter or overpower the enemies.

Each new fight you beat unlocks more and stronger options, allowing further progression.

Enemies will often have passive abilities that will alter your options for winning.

It's been a while since I played, but what I remember is that there's the Floor/character menus, which are how you rebuild decks. The invitations are how you fight battles, some of which are story related and others are "general invitations" that are unique battles outside of the story.

Each character can be equipped with a Page from a character, various passives of other character pages can be attached after that, and then you match up that character's deck of 9 cards for maximum effect.

I... don't remember too much else. I just remember spending a LOT of time figuring out what strategies worked best and how to beat the various battles.

There IS a guide to unexplained or underexplained mechanics that's reasonably NOT spoilery and helps with a lot of the basics.

Oh word, I'm used to manuals being a separate download on steam, so I didn't notice LOL.
Thanks!

For what it is worth, we have steam guides for this game now. There are three of them that cover the pretty much the entire game.
