I seriously do NOT understand the Binah realization.
If I try to shoot out the lethal attacks and fight against the eyes, the first phase drags on too long and my team gets torn apart most time.

(I'm using the team recommended in the Impuritas Cavitatis guide, Yan, PT, Olivier, Nikolai)

There's too many counter dice to burn them all with ranged attacks, plus the eyes chew up the rest of the party.

Unless I get the nigh perfect hand for Olivier, the Rapid Gashes/Clone build takes far too long to get going to win before Darkness hits.

If I use one of my team members to redirect the enchanted character attacks I don't have enough to counter the eyeballs and the fight drags on/my characters get beaten to hell and back.

And even the few times I've gotten to the final phase by everything going right, the final phase is rather ridiculous with mass attack spam.

Are there any more reliable strategies, or is there something I'm missing?

EDIT: I'm sorry to harp on this, and to create a new thread.

I just can't figure out what I'm missing and how to get some actual progress on this fight.

The counter dice are trivial to block using ranged attacks, they use up Counter dice without allowing any actual damage from them, and Binah is loaded with ranged attacks

So I'm guessing the one you're having problem with is the Big Bird pahse. You need to deal with the eyes first and time your attack against the Big Bird after the Darkness hits. Also you need to pay attention to the Power Null status.

The Keypages that were recommended in the guide are really good. Nikolai's Mark is a must since Apo Bird has a ton of health. It will make your life easier. The rest are there to alleviate your Light problem. Yan and the Trigrams passive from the Hana Keypages can help restore Light and have other uses too. Use their support cards accordingly.

PT with Overcharge build almost doesn't care about Light since Energy Conversion restores a lot of Light. And I see you're using the Rapid Gashes build. I would recommend using it with Yujin instead of Olivier since it has the passive that restores 2 Light every time you use a card that has 4 or more original cost. Yujin will destroy this realization.

OF COURSE ONE OF MY NEXT FEW ATTEMPTS AFTER POSTING THIS WORKS!

OF.

#!@$&*(@#

COURSE.

Also, both of you were correct in your advice, (though I didn't have the chance to try Yujin instead of Olivier) and I appreciate the help.

Use Ranged Combat Pages (Cards) against Counter Dice or redirect Enchanted Librarians.

Combat Pages (Cards) Rapid Gashes & Clone are for Yujin's Key Page & Iori The Purple Tear's Key Page.

Binah Patron Librarian of Binah Floor of Philosophy & Assistant Librarians of Binah Floor of Philosophy should kill all Eyeball Chicks in 2 - 3 Scenes.

Combat Pages (Cards) Identify Weakpoint have high rolls & can change their Offensive Dice-type to Offensive Dice-type target's weakest to.

Combat Pages (Cards) Blind Faith have Slash-type Offensive Dice which Twilight Big Eyes phase has Weak Slash-type Stagger Resistance & they lose no Power because there're Status Effects Apocalypse Bird's Egg - Big Eyes stacks.

Against Lamp, I suggest clashing it with Binah. Use 1 Pillar and 1 Fairy to neutralize both of the offensive counter dice. Other Ranged pages work too, but you'll always have Binah. You *only* need to get rid of the offensive counter dice; the block ones don't have effects, and you can let your Enchanted Librarian stagger themselves on them via deflects.

Identify Weakpoint is REALLY good on Binah Realization; each phase is weaker to one specific damage type Twilight swaps resists often, so it'll always hit hard.

Pages that lose power are great against Twilight's Big Eyes phase, like Blind Faith and Proselyte's Blade. On Use power loss pages are actually great against Mass Attacks since they aren't counted as used when clashing against them, so they retain their ridiculous rolls.

There's a specific build that helps a lot with Light economy, especially since Twilight's Mass Attacks drain your Light on hit; run Irina with 3x Clone, 1x Multi-Party Compensation, 1x Field Mods, 1x that Sweeper Persistence page and 3x Brace Up, with Jeong's Office passives. Burn Field Mods and Sweeper Persistence, Clone Multi-Party Compensation and spam the hell outta the Brace Ups. The deck completely lacks clashing power, but the rest of your team will restore a whole bunch of Light each Scene.

I did not know about the hidden counter ability of "lose power" pages against power alteration nullification effects.

Ironically, I beat the dang thing about three tries after I posted this.

Topic seems finished but I'll add my 2 cents in. In a recent challenge run I did(no grinding+other rules) I didnt get Irina so this fight was a bit worrying going in, I found though phase 1 is simple enough, phase 2 the enemy ai changing was different from the original abno battle and I blasted through it after a poor first turn, phase 3 is where things get special. I found using Binah Mass Attack plus another mass attack(Xiao perhaps) to wipe all the enemies was highly effective then just blitzing the main boss. Smoke Singleton was the mainstay for most of my endgame and it really sped up the fights. After the mass attacks clapping phase 3 I entered phase 4 with really good momentum and won off that. The entire fight feels like if I have good momentum going into phase 4, it's as good as done. My first playthrough I had to sac on phase 3 and phase 4 was a real slog(that's on me though, I ran a protection team) where I was taking blow after blow and trying to survive. Double mass attack phase 3 for a free win as I'm quite confident in overrolling the main guy made going into phase 4 flow way better.

While using the power manipulation negation effect to your advantage is neat, I never really found it necessary. If you have 5 people healthy in the final phase you're golden, then first 3 phases should be to set you up for that endgame.

For me, Four Trigrams passive, Nikolai's Mark, Smoke, and a few high roll cards like Fervent Emotions and Xiao was enough to deal with the realization. Four Trigrams especially is fantastic if you don't have, or don't want to run Irina.

Neat!

I love how there's multiple different strategies.

I was also not in the best shape the last victorious run, but managed to eke it out by VERY careful management of attacks/who took what hits.
