how hard is this game?

hello,i like hard games where losing is punished(see darkest dungeon or xcom long war).
how hard is this game?is it easy to cheese and so on?also how much time to complete a playtrough?

The average time to finish the game is around 100-150 hours. The game is fairly simple and gives you time to experiment in the beginning. The difficulty is increased by increasing the various variables you have to account for. The only disappointing thing is the lack of balance tweaks since the beginning of development, which can lead to sudden increases and decreases in difficulty.

Some people said it's hard, others said it's easy. I think it's punishing if you're a beginner and don't know what you're doing with the fights, but becomes much easier later on.

This game will not entirely hold your hand, but it will give you a decent difficulty curve once you get into the meat of the game. Some fights will make you rage, and some will be a breeze, but overall, a very fine game.

It isn't as difficult as playing when the updates were rolling out on UPDATE FRIIIDDAAYYYSSS or as difficult as its prequel was, Lobotomy Corporation, but I still think its difficult enough to have fun with

Not to say this game doesn't have difficult fights though, especially during the late-game

There is a def. learning curve in this game once you reach like Urban plague / nightmare area. (imo) Some of the game mechanics can be pretty vague. or the game has trouble explaining certain mechanics. Especially with some of the abnormality battles.
The game is pretty difficult end game.

The difficulty of the game stems from your knowledge (or lack thereof) of the game and the resources you have available to you for each fight. So yeah, depending on how quickly you pick it up, it could be incredibly hard, decently hard, or fairly easy (though usually that's not what they actually mean, but...eh, tangents).

the first part of the game is kinda easy, especially if you know the basic rules of the game. nearing the second part, the game's difficulty will ramp up depending how much of the game mechanic you have learnt from the first part. it can be ranged from slightly hard to almost impossible (sometimes i questioned myself how do i survive those big roll near the end game). you will be introduced with the game mechanics in various boss battle. so, as long as you pay attention to it, you wouldn't miss that much info.

The game is difficult to people new to this kind of genre, but this is the kind of game where anyone can beat the game without much frustration. There is almost no penalty to losing since losing doesn't affect the game state.

Easy to cheese? very.

I enjoy and recommend the game, but I'm not gonna lie: It can be a real punk at points.
